Over 100,000 public libraries in the US and each of them probably bought a copy. Plus journalists who want to write about what she says.
But she does have her fans. Over two million viewers of "The View" out there and if one in ten of them bought the book, that goes a long way towards 300,000.
Come to think of it: 10 million people somewhere are watching "Madam Secretary" (now, still, after four years and Hillary's defeat). Find those people and you'll probably stumble on wherever the people who bought the book are.

Dateline 2019, Prince George's County, Maryland: DNC Headquarters quietly dispose of nearly 500,000 copies of Hillary Clinton's "What Happened" in a nearby landfill.

I think I would believe Al Bundy before I believed ABC News / AP. Perhaps the core of the story is true, but decorated with plenty of fluff. 😮
