Feel free to indulge.
It was more like 25 years ago, early in the Clinton era. The files were obtained in 1993 / 1994, right after he was sworn in in 1993. So let's examine this. One possibility: 25 years ago, the Clinton's had a way of predicting who, of all the faceless minions in DC, would be prominent in politics in 25 years and secured their files for future reference. Second possibility: the Clinton's focused on power brokers of the early 90s and their immediate staffs, looking for opportunities. I find the second scenario more likely.
So where was Sessions in the early 90s? Sessions was a nobody in 1993 and became Attorney General of Alabama in 1994, a post not requiring a federal background investigation (what the FBI files were). So he wasn't himself involved in national politics, he wasn't on the staff of anyone who was involved in national politics, and was basically an unknown at the time. I find it hard to believe that Hillary would target him back then. The Clinton's are nefarious criminals, they are not Nostradamus.
Antifa and BLM are clearly criminal and terrorist organizations. Nevertheless, Sessions has done nothing to prosecute or seriously investigate them and their supporters. He deserves to be fired for that alone.
Wrong. AH has always been a partisan high profile job, Bobby Kennedy, janet Reno, holder, lynch, etc
While I agree with Jarrett, I also try to remember that the AG wasnt such a high-profile position before the Obamanations two made it high visibility and highly partisan.
Really? Janet Reno comes to mind.

The attorney Generals and the Courts are the two most important positions a president can appoint....
So the noob posts and rants about Sessions, interesting as the ACLU seems to have the biggest issue with Sessions.
Can we stop aiding the enemy in getting rid of those who actually are in line with the President’s vision....immigration was the hot issue and on that Sessions is kicking butt
Sessions was a poor choice. That job should have gone to Rudy. Newt should have gotten SOS.
He has become a creature of the swamp...not willing to prosecute fellow swamp critters...
“Im 73. Have been a Republican for over 50 years and have not wavered. Its 100 steps up from the Democratic Party.”
Well, I just turned 77, and I spent my younger years in Republican politics in California when Ronald Reagan was our governor. I was a three-term elected member of my Republican County Central Committee. I resigned that post midway through my third term realizing that being a member was a fool’s mission because of the oligarchy that ran it. The best that could be said for that body was that in knew how to put on a really good annual barbecue. And with that decision, came the realization that the Republican Party didn’t actually support the principles it swore to us all that it represented. There is a vast difference between simply “being a Republican,” and being for the Conservative Principles on which that party was originally founded, but has failed to support for decades. So be my guest pal, be a “life-long member” of the Republican Party for all the good that it will do you.
As a long term Senator, he didn’t realize that as AG he’d actually have to work.
Definitely not up to the task.
Out of curiosity, do you happen to know what both the Democrats and the Uniparty said would happen if Trump fires Sessions?
>>The culprits are all way to dirty and way to nasty for the Southern Gentleman approach.
Bidness as usual.

How many of the “prosecuted” defendants (being sued civil fraud) will see a day in jail?
Might as well rob the bank if the only consequence is paying a fine with the money they stole.
sweetie, read the other replies to the post if you think it’s only me ranting about Sessions.
No one discovered what she had done with the FBI files until 1997 and frankly, despite Judicial Watch’s best efforts we still don’t have a whole lot of information about the incident.
Craig Livingstone was paid off and disappeared.
Well, that’s just one theory.
Have you got one about Session’s strangely silent status as AG under Trump?
Clearly a disappointment for sure.
Sweetie? What a silly way to address someone you don’t know.
Nonetheless, I’m fully aware of the chorus of Sessions detractors and I believe there are some valid points but as a whole, coming from a newbie stinks. Just the way it is kid.
Sweetie, Ive been around since the beginning and have contributed to FR since then. You got a problem? Take it up with the admins. Tossing out the newbie word makes you look real petty.
Oh, so you’re a retread, got it. Get over yourself, and stop acting like a condescending jerk with your silly ‘sweetie’ crap.
In my state, Maryland, it's Brian Fr0sh, a giant embarrassment to conservative and thinking Marylanders and other Americans as well.
