So do I, but what can Trump do about it, other than only sign on to the shortest CR possible? Three months or fifteen months, which do you think is best?

Until Congress gets off it’s ass and approves tax cuts and Obamacare repleal, not much is going to get better.

We can’t simply default on our debt, so what choice does Trump have?

Congress is blackmailing us and I’m damned tired of it.

All they are proving, is that there aren’t more than 20 Conservatives in Congress.

He is responsible for what he does. Don’t agree to the extensions, don’t agree to increases in the limit. if congress overrides then so be it. but someone has to stand up to the dangerous game of chicken they re playing.

The Asians have always accepted gold in trade. I view gold and silver as insurance, not a get rich scheme.

It will impact this entire nation. We cannot just turn a blind eye and say nope this isn’t an issue. As a matter of fact the deficit yes an issue should be the LEAST of our concerns. The 350-400 TRILLION $ in unfunded liabilities should scare the hell out of every person on these boards. The days of cheerleading should end and seriousness about our fiscal house should be top priority.

When is the last time any administration let alone this one has EVER discussed our unfunded liabilities? If we wish to have a nation any longer Conservatives better come to grips with this dollar value, wake up to reality and hammer all member of Government about it. The days of rah rah look at this tweet or ha ha they really smacked them infantile conduct from all sides has to end and serious discussions and actions must take place or we’ve lost this country for good

I can’t believe we survived it. But his land mines are still in place.

Definitely the worst and most bizarre 8 years of my life.

Evidently you don’t remember other times when people like Clinton refused to sign the budget, and Newt Gingrich was blamed.

Some of the people on my side are embarrassing to watch, no concept of how things are done.

Trump cannot do everything on his own, and we had to get the disaster relief to the people.

If you can’t grasp that, don’t bother making it worse for yourself by responding to me.

“The Asians have always accepted gold in trade”

Okay, Marco Polo.

Seriously, how do you trade in gold with the Asians? Mail 3.2 ounces of gold for 400 pounds of bamboo sheets?

YDGAF at all. Don’t limit it to the past.

Many of us have grandkids.

Those grandkids won’t be helped by a default by the government.

The leader that stands the best chance of doing things to help those grandkids, is Trump.

He has tried all year to get the Republicans to pass Tax and Obamacare legislation. They have refused.

Now you have this great idea for him to cause a default of the government all tied up with disaster relief.

That’s just juvenile.

With Trump’s move, we address the debt ceiling again in three months. With the Republican plan we would be doing it in the spring of 2019.

You don’t see any difference do you.

The national debt is at $14.5 trillion, but the real debt is the $211 trillion in unfunded liabilities.

something extreme is called for to get them off their asses. let the government stop or come to halt. How long do you think that will last. Trump should say, no more. After this month.

Trump doesn’t stand a chance of doing squat about the deficit if he keeps signing limit increases. Do you see how contradictory that is? It’s like saying we had to destroy the village to save it. we had to increase the deficit to lower it.

A lot of that debt would not exist if there had not been a world financial crisis in 2008-9.

There were people in the financial industry who were betting on this crisis and actively trying to bring it about. None of them went to jail even though the taxpayers will be paying for their actions for a very long time and the savings of very many people were destroyed.

Of course there were many factors that led to the financial crisis. But it was certainly unethical to knowingly take actions to make it more likely.

You know, you’ve got to try awfully damned hard to get Conservatives to despise you, but there are about three of you on this thread who are hell bent to do it.

YDGAF remember?

You NeverTrumpers need to go on over the Democrat Underground, the Huffington Post, Slate, the CNN boards and other places who don’t know squat about political dynamics, from a Conservative point of view.

There are times when you can play hardball and there are times when you can’t.

Until you know that, you’ll be lost in space.

In December, when there are not other things tied to it, Trump will be able to play a higher level of hard ball.

Now you just make yourself miserable and insult anyone you can until then. Okay?
