Well, we are hoping that this one “just up and dies!”
Of course storms can form worldwide...not all come from the west coast of Africa.
This one is extreme in the real sense of “extreme.”
POTUS needs to ignore this ankle biter. But somebody needs to take his smarmy @ss to task — what has HE done to help people in affected areas...
“Harvey developed from a tropical wave to the east of the Lesser Antilles on August 17. The storm crossed through the Windward Islands on the following day, passing just south of Barbados and later near Saint Vincent.
Upon entering the Caribbean Sea, Harvey began to weaken due to moderate wind shear and degenerated into a tropical wave north of Colombia early on August 19. The remnants were monitored for regeneration as it continued west-northwestward across the Caribbean and the Yucatán Peninsula, before re-developing over the Bay of Campeche on August 23. Harvey then began to rapidly intensify on August 24, re-gaining tropical storm status and becoming a hurricane later that day.

Cool.
It didn’t come out of nowhere.

Answer: Strapping your cuck beta boy ass on a raft, and setting it out in the GoM - right in Harvey’s path. With all that BS you blow out your ass, Jim, perhaps you can push Harvey back out to sea!
That was a marvelous thread,or Tweet,or whatever it’s called.
Lots of fun——Accosta got reamed.
.
Well, there goes my Beachfront Bargain Hunt.
A few hours ago, I did the Shreveport to Dallas run on I-20. Dozens of power utility bucket trucks are funneling into Texas from points east. I quit counting at around fifty.
If there is any silver lining, it is that the eye of Harvey and much of the “dirty” side is hitting relatively lightly populated coastal areas. Corpus may get some devastation, but it will be limited by being on the safer side.
Wow just wow.
Might be some more bargains available soon with that thing.
Yikes
What sad state of mind are you in that you think the weather service is making up numbers? Pathetic. What a loon. Why don’t you go down to the Texas coast and see for yourself if they are making it up.
This didn’t really come out of nowhere. The storm formed in the Atlantic and went across part of Mexico and regained strength when it went back out in the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico. All of that was accurately predicted. They did miss the fact that the storm would intensify so quickly.
Yep, every House will have a Pool, an Indoor Pool.
Have friends who own a beautiful House in Aransas Pass.
They are on a Canal, but the Association installed a Seagate to prevent flooding.
Hope it holds up.
That is coming out of now where for a hurricane
It was nothing until it was offshore
Most of the hurricanes that hit Florida and Texas are at least Tropical storms long before they hit .
Most of them actually form off the coast of Africa .
This thing was nothing and people were not really watching .
Same thing that happened with Hurricane Andrew .
They thought it was going to be a tropical storm hitting Miami and all of sudden a major hurricane.
Wonder if I'll get banned...
That would be more appropriate to Chris ‘The Pervert’ Cuomo.
A couple of years ago, I remember seeing them lined up along 20 headed for the east coast where there were power outages from Georgia to Maine. The Dem governor’s refused their help because they weren’t unionized. Those residents remained without power for weeks.
Hurricanes are unpredictable. That’s why it is important to pay attention. Grew up in South Florida so I have experience. My last hurricane was Andrew but we were in Broward and were spared the brunt. Better to over-prepare than under-prepare. I have watched Harvey since it was first forming.
