Bill Cosby hires Michael Jackson's lawyer for sex assault retrial

Bill Cosby has hired Michael Jackson's former lawyer to represent him at his November retrial on sexual assault charges in Pennsylvania.

Cosby's spokesman announced Monday that the 80-year-old comedian is bringing in Tom Mesereau to lead a retooled defense team. Lawyers from the first trial in June had said they wanted off the case.

Mesereau won an acquittal in Jackson's 2004 child molestation trial. He has also represented boxer Mike Tyson, actor Robert Blake and rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight.

Mesereau will be joined by Sam Silver, who represented now-imprisoned former U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah of Pennsylvania in a corruption case.

If I was on the jury, just that would be enough to guarantee my "guilty" vote.

Great move.

Somehow reminded me of the time Ted Bundy, representing himself, put up a huge photo of his teeth in court to show they were not the same as the bite marks made on the victim.

Yeah, that went over real good.

Cosby better not hire M.J’s sleep therapist. Might not wake up again.

Didn’t MJ have the late Johnnie Cochrane represent him at one time or another?

Propofol is a very dangerous sleep medication.

Easy to obtain, easy to die from.

Just ask Michael Jackson..oh, wait.

Like taking Fentanyl for a headache

No, that’s a shrewd, wise choice. The dude knows how to pull rabbits out of the hat. Unfortunately Johnny Cochran was unavailable

Somehow re/minded me of the time Ted Bundy, representing himself, put up a huge photo of his teeth in court to show they were not the same as the bite marks made on the victim.

If the teeth don't fit, you must acquit!

If writing big checks to the victims is winning in lawyer speak, then Cosby better have huge pockets.

Travon never really had a lawyer....

The family uses, (or used where there were TV cameras around) Ben Crump, total racist incompetent.

Joke is Crump once defended a 45 in a 35 speeder. Got him off with 12 to 20.

Also once tried a case. Verdict came in late at night. Crump called his firm’s senior partner and left a message on his voice mail: “Justice Has Triumphed!!!!”

Senior partner called back, left message; “File an appeal immediately!”

He has huuuuuge pockets. When he was hot, his endorsement was priceless.

For Coke, he received a large % of Coke bottling franchises all over the counter, NYC, Phil, DC, etc.

100 mil $ plus.

But in this case, P already knows his defense, and is prepared for it.

Also, I’ll bet the vic is a lot more “innocent and in need of our protection” this time
