Chuck Toad has JC Watts. Toad said nobody from the administration would come on. Watts says Trump did not respond the right way. Watts cites resigations of Trump's business council, one from faith council.

Toad says the president has lost moral authority. Asks how does he regain it? Watts says something about having advisors. Watts repeats that rump does not understand the magnitude of being the president.

Toad calls for the president to repudiate his remarks.

Watts says Trump's remarks put salt in the racial divide wound. He says Trump gave the impression that he sides with evil.

Watts says that Ryan and the others who arenlt following Sasse, McCain, Graham are pretty much endorsing Trump.

Next up - a replay of Toad's interview with Young from yesterday.

the CNN Antifa piece has been updated 20 Aug. the Orwellian subheading “Activists seek peace through violence” has been removed and who knows what else, because I didn’t get to see the piece when it was dated 19 Aug.
I did eventually manage to copy the text of the updated version, & am hoping someone has a screenshot of the original, so I can compared the two. same url:

CNN: Unmasking the leftist Antifa movement
By Sara Ganim and Chris Welch, CNN
Updated 0147 GMT (0947 HKT) August 20, 2017
Editor’s Note: This story has been updated to clarify that counterprotesters say they are not to blame for violence at the Charlottesville protest. The story’s headline has also been updated.

Am extremely important reminder to folks living in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Support, defend and respect our Great POTUS, Donald j. Trump, at his scheduled “RALLY” being held in the Phoenix Convention Center on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 7:00PM. Americans must turn out in massive numbers to back the POTUS in his historic, honorable, patriotic, quest to Make America Great Again (MAGA).

Using a simple old “Saying” “Now is the time for all good women and men to come to the aid & support of their POTUS, Donald J. Trump, and magnificent, Country. Looking for a fantastic overwhelming turnout from the great folks of Arizona and the surrounding areas. Do it!!!

The first I saw the article, it had the same "This story has been updated to clarify that counterprotesters say they are not to blame for violence at the Charlottesville protest." remark at the end. I suspect the article had a sentence somewhere that might be taken as antifa having any blame at all for the violence. In other words, I doubt the article has been changed much, other than the headline was the subject of plenty of ridicule so they figured they ought to change it, just to avoid the ridicule.

I can't stand Raddatz. That being said .... Is Trump a president with no party?

Trump is backed up by the People Party - all 60-65 million (or however many it was), who voted him into office and still support him to this day. For all the media hysterics about the 'chaos' in the WH, Trump being mentally ill, Bannon being the shadow president. Melania & Barron being miserable, Javanka, leakers, etc. ..... just look at what Trump has ACCOMPLISHED since he took office! It is nothing short of amazing. I see Bannon leaving as a turning point & a good sign ..... he was a campaign man, big picture, get it done, get Trump in the WH and he stayed with Trump while he worked through the first months. Since Trump was not a politician, he didn't have a Rolodex of names, etc. to call upon for staffing positions, etc. so he had to rely on Priebus at first. Now, he's shifting into "Trump mode" ..... his people, a more steady administration with General Kelly's help and he has "cried havoc (to the enemedia/globalists/RINOs, etc.) and let slip the dog of war" .... Bannon. Bannon is off the WH choke chain and free to be Bannon the Barbarian when it comes to taking on the enemies of Trump. By the time he's through, I think the Dems/Progs/Leftists/Libs will wish he was back at a desk in the WH pushing paper. Just my 2 cents.

Cry, Martha, cry ..... I love the smell of Covfefe in the morning!

The Party is showing its true cowardice roots. All of the managers are telling them to run from Trump which is what managers always do. They get paid whether the candidate wins or loses.

LOL. Peggy Noonan has joind NBC as an analyst. Noonana says Trump didn't lose his moral authority because he never had any.

Eugene Robison agrees with Peggy. Trump has no moral authority. He is disasterously amoral. There is ugliness inside Trump, he shows it again and again.

Toad cites Romney, with approval.

Steven Hayes says "Trump looks at the praise from David Duke and is happy about this." He says Trump is practicing identity politics.

From your link:

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Protesters gathered in front of Columbus City Hall on Saturday to call for a statue of the city’s namesake to be taken down.

Tynan Krakoff is the lead organizer of Showing Up For Racial Justice, the group putting on this rally, and said the statue of Christopher Columbus represents some of the bad in American history.

“We’re calling on the city council, the mayor and the city of Columbus to remove the statue,” said Krakoff to NBC4 on Friday.

Some marchers draped a banner over the Columbus statue that read “TOPPLE WHITE SUPREMACY NOW.”

Mayor Andy Ginther released a statement Saturday afternoon:

I support the removal of monuments celebrating the Confederacy, but I would urge people to remember that the disturbing and tragic events that unfolded in Charlottesville were not about statues, but about persistent racism in our country. There are many perspectives on the Christopher Columbus statue, but let’s not be distracted from the need to address the real problem: the racial divide in our community and across the country.

...................

Idiots all over the country think they can change history by destroying concrete or steel statues. They know nothing about history.\ History is blind. It does not live,it already happened. You cant change it no matter how much left wing dogma you swallow, how much you reinvent the textbooks or strap a statue, pull it down kick it with your tennis shoes(really smart) and then spit on it.

People are confusing value judgments with history, the two are different animals.value judgments are made constantly they change all the time some love some hate, some don't give a dam.

History remains blind. It just happens. Right wrong, indifferent, it just happens.

It's still history,it still happened.

You gotta wonder how stupid some people are.

I am so confused about this Steve Bannon thing . First he was the best thing since popcorn.

Then dark references to the man’s secret “Deep State” side.

Now he’s on the good side.

This is how it goes with this administration. The media and political players put out so much conflicting information that the public is meant to be confused and draw a conclusion that this President is not up to the job.

.........................

Great post fish you covered a lot of stuff in one post.

Steve Bannon is one of the most misunderstood players in Trumps' army.

IMHO, Bannon is now more in tune with Trump than ever and has seen that he would be so restricted in what he could do as a White House employee that he can actually do more in support of the potus on the outside.

As head of Breitbart, a post he has already taken in hours of leaving the WH, he can pretty much say or do anything he needs to do.Not so in the White House.

Bannon is the ultimate patriot. He hates the hard left and will do anything he can to keep them from destroying the Presidents agenda which he believes in. Like all of us he has portions of the Presidents agenda he likes more than others. But he realizes this may be our last shot at saving the country and that is the bigger goal we all much keep our eye on.

...the desire of the pundits to be liked, invited to the 5pm craft cocktail events overpowers any salient brain activity. I don’t expect anyone on any show to take our President’s side, hence, our side. The are too self-serving to be capable of analysis when they are in, “me , too!” mode.

They are millionaire beltway pond scum.

I notice at 9:35am, no tweets yet...I wonder what DT and Bannon have cooked up this morning.

Oh for those concerned about Trump’s team, take heart...this is my take...Bannon is giving psyops...he is saying the honeymoon is over and they are trying to take trump out...Bannon is saying this is now war and they picked a fight with a tiger.

You ain’t seen nothing yet.
