The scenario George Orwell created in his novel “1984”, seems less and less like fiction. Winston Smith, the main character, worked at the Truth Ministry where he “corrected” records. The internet was not yet the route where information flowed. It was newspapers, books, periodicals, pamphlets, posters, leaflets, films, sound tracks, cartoons, photographs and every kind of literature or documentation which might contain any political or ideological significance that were subject to “correction”.
As soon as Winston’s “correction” was made, the original was destroyed. Day by day, and almost minute by minute the past was brought up to date. All written records were to agree with the Party version of the past. Anything that was not in agreement was to be thrown in a memory hole, never to be recalled again.

OK, mandatory is probably not a good idea. I’m willing to settle for HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Why is this happening?
Why are Confederate monuments being torn down, in the middle of the night? If the liberals are so proud of what they are doing, why not make a big announcement and do it in the light of day?
Also, where are basic facts?
Such as, the fact that Democrats were the key party behind the KKK. The fact that a revered Democrat, Robert Byrd, was a member of the KKK.
The fact that proportionally more Republicans, than Democrats, voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
The fact that Republican Senator Everett Dirksen was a key Senator in working to break the Democrat filibuster of the Civil Rights Act.
This is just off the top of my head. I know others have put out many more such inconvenient truths. But this narrative that somehow the GOP and Trump are all racists and all this other crap, should be countered with some simple facts such as I have just mentioned.
But will these facts ever make their way into the media? Is there any semblance of being fair and balanced anymore, on any news channel?

Naah. Democrat Abe Lincoln freed the slaves. LBJ gave them their civil rights from the evil Jewish Republican Barry Goldwater in 1964. Voting Republican can cause Black people’s genitals to fall off and instantaneous return to slavery. That’s what the media and teachers tell me.
About 10 years ago I realized that people were removing lots of information from wikipedia. Most of these deletions involved removing information damaging to progressive narratives. History articles were being altered/falsified right in front my eyes and since wikipedia is the source everyone uses for history they might as well been removing/altering history. It struck me then that Winston Smith was a wikipedia editor.
Not every locale is treating this suddenly hot topic the same way. Some have openly voted by day to privatize the rebel monuments. The night moves follow to minimize the riot potential.
I say good. Every real redneck picked his own cotton picking cotton. He has no pro-secession dog in the fight. Let a million museums bloom. But don’t call what we had a civic act.
The radical left are experts of deception and manipulation. This is about taking down America, ushering in a socialist society under the cover of social justice...using White this, KKK that, a nazi behind every bush. This is about Trump and those who supported him. Innocently stroll through a park with a MAGA Tshirt on with a protest going on. You'll be attacked.
Folks should know better by now. Rules for radicals utilized to throw conservatives off kilter. Rage! Accuse! Tear it down, use violence.
This country is indeed disintegrating. I'm beginning to truly believe we are heading toward a civil war. Sounds crazy, but looking at the terrain....I dunno.
So fine, Wikipedia is private. It happens to be lefty too. Let there be a Trumpedia. If the funds are raised to do it. Sometimes freedom requires investment.
They did a bit on that in Intersteller, Murphy’s school was coming down on her dad for telling them the Apollo moon landings were real.

My Father had me and my two siblings watch the old black and white version of George Orwells’ 1984 movie when we were pretty young. This was in the late 50’s/early 60’s. All of us turned out very Conservative, and we still remember the movie. Animal farm was another one he had us view.
Teach your kids, and start young. It works. If you don’t, the schools will.
