Axios' Jonathan Swan hears Bannon has told friends he sees a massive opening to the right of Fox News, raising the possibility that he's going to start a network.
- Bannon's friends are speculating about whether it will be a standalone TV network, or online streaming only.
- Before his death in May, Roger Ailes had sent word to Bannon that he wanted to start a channel together. Bannon loved the idea: He believes Fox is heading in a squishy, globalist direction as the Murdoch sons assume more power.
- Now he has the means, motive and opportunity: His chief financial backer, Long Island hedge fund billionaire Bob Mercer, is ready to invest big in what's coming next, including a huge overseas expansion of Breitbart News.
On Day 1, Breitbart declared he's taking his West Wing infighting to the outside, telling Bloomberg Businessweek's Josh Green that he's "going to war for Trump against his opponents — on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America."
The reality is that Bannon will go nuclear on former colleagues he calls "West Wing Democrats": economic adviser Gary Cohn, Jared and Ivanka ("Javanka," as he calls them) and Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell.
The revved-up Breitbart operation is also likely to target Speaker Ryan, as it did before Trump.

Even better, there are rumors that AT&T is looking to sell off CNN. Their ratings are so low, it may be sold off cheap. He should but it, fire everyone, and rename it the Conservative News Network - thus keeping the CNN "name" and logo.
Understatement of the year. Without the new media Trump would have had no more than 3% of the vote.

I don't doubt there are other forces at play, including wives and social acquaintances. But it is worth mentioning that generational transfers of power are risky moments in a business' life cycle. In short, the second generation is more likely to ruin the firm than the first generation....they kids, they just did not have that killer instinct. Indeed look at all the "robber barons" and their progeny - like the Rockefeller descendants' fossil fuel dust-up. It looks like the Murdoch kids aren't all that different in this regard.
Keep in mind Fox NEWS a small part of Fox CORP.
This is exactly why Bannon et al have a golden opportunity to swoop in and not only make money but grab hearts and minds as well.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............let me see....”Breit” News will feature Bannon as Chairman, feauturing programs such as The Factor by a pissed off, unshackled, Oreilly, Hannity, Lou Dobbs, Varney, Doocy, Ainsley, Brian with a “Breit & Friends”.......... and so on.

Please do this. FOX news has caused massive damage to conservatism and America by pushing globalism, especially during the Dubya regime years.
I will never forget watching the Fox Sunday roundtable political talk show right after the Gang of Eight amnesty was rolled out and every single host and guest on that show said that he supported that bill. Not one opposed amnesty or even a bill that would have tripped immigration levels. I remember Bill Kristol and Karl Rove were two of the people.

No; it would need to be on mainstream TV and cable. If streaming, only we wonks would see it, and that would be preaching to the choir. It needs to be where everyone can see it, even if only via channel surfing and mistakenly accessing it.
I told Hubby it would be cool if some lib group could hack into CNN, MSNBC, etc., and hijack the crawls at the bottom of the screens. Maybe write, “What you are hearing here are lies.”. Or, “ This is fake news.”. A person could be very creative.
Great! Can’t wait to ditch Fox. Hope the Breitbart network is established quickly so it can lead the fight to defeat Fake Conservatives in next year’s elections.
