Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer (D) addressed the August 12 car attack that killed Heather Heyer, suggesting it highlights the need to limit concealed carry.
He said he supports the Second Amendment, and is even "friends with many gun owners," but he thinks more restrictions are necessary following the rally in which a car attack took an innocent life.
According to the Atlantic, Signer said, "While I am…a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, that right, like all Constitutional rights, comes with limits." He then said, "Just as machine guns cannot be owned by civilians in this country ... it should not be acceptable to open-carry or concealed-carry firearms at an event of the sort we saw last weekend."

I hope the punk mayor of Charlottesville realizes that most states ban local governments from imposing gun laws that are more restrictive than what state law allows.

The town folk need to limit this mayor by voting him out.
He must have gotten a call from princess running beaver with her new push for gun control. Lucky for us they never learn. Or maybe he was concerned about the YUGE caches of weapons hidden around the city that the police (ahem, cough, cough) never found.
He needs to prove that the clash wasn’t a planned policy initiative by a collusion of this lefty and Gov. Terror McAuliffe.
Trump has likely seen the videos and has ordered the investigation. He cannot say anything to damage the driver’s trial.

The Dems are rapidly losing virtually all support in the South - tearing down historical monuments (many of us had relatives who died in the CW, battles fought on our family farms, etc.), taking away guns that we use to defend ourselves/families and hunt/use for sport and of course, the Left/Dems/Progs/Libs/Antifa are virtually Godless.
Keep it up Dems ..... the South (all of us deplorable bitter clingers) will rise again when it’s time to vote.
Sad dang state of affairs. The whole northeast chunk has fallen to the libbys. I know there are lots of conservative folks up there but the pop centers ruin it for the entire area.
