That worked for a couple of Christie townhalls here in coastal New Jersey. Emails from our local Republican orgs went out about a week before the events hit the newspapers, giving us more planning time and increasing "friendly" attendance. Not that the questions were any less tough, just that the answers were not drowned out by morons hooting.
