Paranoid Kim Jong-un executing record numbers of North Koreans who no longer see him as a living GOD

The heartless crackdown – spearheaded by the paranoid Glorious Leader himself – is leading to imprisonment, torture and even execution by firing squad.

The news comes as it’s revealed more and more people are now turning to traditional religions like Buddhism and Christianity – rather than follow the so-called Cult of the Kims.

Among those are tens of thousands who have refused to sign up with the army.

The report said: “The number of conscientious objectors refusing military service for non religious reasons is also on the rise, according to local NGOs, lawyers, and religious groups.”

Other than patrolling the DMZ and occasionally attempting to infiltrate South Korea, what does the North Korean army do?

My hunch, is that there are Nork Generals who are Chinese plants who are just waiting for the signal from Beijing to seize power in North Korea.

Interesting hypothesis. Would it be so bad if true?

I don’t think so. But the Chinese probably want some quid pro quo assurances from the US, if they are to pull the trigger on the Norks, mainly assurances that the US leaves the Peninsula once Korea is reunified. But the trick is to do it in a manner that doesn’t result in complete chaos. Which means there has to be some preparations, since the North probably would have to be occupied by China, South Korea and the US, to maintain order, during the transition to reunification.

I don’t believe ‘paranoid’ applies in this case. Psychopathic is more likely, and depraved is even better.

Korea will never be unified with the Chi-coms around. They do not want a country that western friendly right on the border. They like the buffer zone as it is.

But China does have good relations with South Korea. I don’t see a reunified Korean government being that hostile to China.

They still hate the Japanese more than the Chinese.

It's reported that the Norks have the third or fourth largest Army in the world. If that's true those troops could cause serious problems if they were to stream south,,regardless of how well trained and equipped the ROK military might be.

You may be right. China is using North Korea as their surrogate against the West, but they probably have a plan for dealing with North Korea if Kim gets too far out of line. Plus, I can't imagine the Chinese would allow Korean reunification as a nation aligned with the West.

At some point, maintaining the Norks is going to become more trouble than it’s worth for the Chinese.

The young militarily inexperienced Jong Un may have committed a strategic blunder when he took over by executing his popular Uncle and 3 generations of Uncles family, and purging an unknown number of senior military officers who served his Father and Uncle. Then just recently assassinated his oldest brother who was living abroad. Talk about paranoia. The ultimate trust and faith of the senior military leaders in a man who executes psychopathically and on a whim can't be strong. .

Given the choice between winning peoples hearts and minds or trying to subjugate them with terror, this twisted freak chose terror.

And does ROK want to take on a diseased appendage of zombie-like thought controlled economically destitute people with a million man army that would essentially be out of business unless they maintain an external threat from the US? loaded with antiquated equipment and trained in Stalinist doctrine?

That is not a marriage made in heaven

Two Koreas i would assume, albeit with new Chinese-controllled leadership in the north

I would argue that while that once was true, times are changing.

The South Koreans are making an effort to trade with China and vice versa. the people once in charge are dying and those younger taking hold want to make money and have good lives.

money to be made by youth is a powerful driving force
