A warning from George Orwell on the ‘monument wars’
NY Post ^ | August 16, 2017 | Seth Lipsky

Posted on 08/16/2017 11:14:51 PM PDT by Oshkalaboomboom

In the new Civil War, I’m with George — as in George Washington. It’s one thing to start dismantling monuments of Civil War generals. It would be another to go after the most famous founding father.

Washington’s name was raised Tuesday by President Trump. He wheeled on reporters and tried — yet again — to suggest an equivalence between the alt-right and alt-left at Charlottesville. Trump was getting his head handed to him when he noted that there were people there “to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue.”

The president was referring to Robert E. Lee, hero of the Confederacy. Charlottesville had long since made its decision to remove its statue of Lee. It acted through its city council, the democratic way.

On Monday, though, protesters in Durham, N.C., took matters into their own hands. They slung a rope around the neck of the statue of a Confederate soldier and pulled it down.

“So will George Washington now lose his status?” the president asked on Tuesday. “Are we going to take down statues to George Washington? How about Thomas Jefferson?”

It’s a good question — no doubt the question for many Americans. It’s not that the alt-left has already got its noose around statues of Washington, but the leftist-outrage industry does move fast.

Even in New York.

Mayor de Blasio tweeted Wednesday, “New York City will conduct a 90-day review of all symbols of hate on city property.”

Protesters have already swarmed the statue of Teddy Roosevelt at the Museum of Natural History. They reckon it’s a symbol of white supremacy.

But there is one odd thing about me. Isn’t Gujarat a higher caste area? I knew of a fellow from there (surname Thakkar) who apparently viewed me as a “champ.” I think he saw Jesus on me even before I noticed it — I had become a Christian believer a few years prior. They’re savvy to spiritual things in the Hindu world — it’s just that they’re all confused about the players and their motives.

The idea of God in Christianity is as of a Person with power to lift everybody up. Now we can’t let Satan poop that party. I wouldn’t see a pushback on my part to such activity as a “knifing” per se, but as a stern warning that God personally backs up.

Listen carefully, there is a reason that both Microsoft and Google have former H1-B employees as CEOs.

Google CEO: Pichai Sundararajan or Sundar Pichai as he is popularly known is a Tamil Brahmin (caste). Born on 12 July 1972 in a quiet, middle-class Chennai family, he worked hard in school at studies and sports and excelled at both.

Microsoft CEO: Satya Nadella is a Telugu Brahmin (caste). He was born in Hyderabad in 1967. His father was an IAS Officer and was part of the National Planning Commission during 2004-09. Satya completed his Bachelors from India and followed it up with Masters in Computer Science from Milwaukee & MBA from University of Chicago.

Brahman, also spelled Brahmin, Sanskrit Brāhmaṇa (“Possessor of Brahma”), highest ranking of the four varnas, or social classes, in Hindu India.

Wake up and mentally review every propaganda lie that was spoon fed to you in school like "Diversity is strength", "affirmative action", or "pro-choice" otherwise you have already close to losing.

And oddly enough, most Asians don’t even need so-called affirmative action. They have enough gumption on their own to do quite well.

Really? Why? If slavery and race is the paramount issue above all else then not only are these men suspect but most of our history is. Slavery was legal and existed in this nation and colonies from almost the very beginning. Hell why stop at the civil war? Why not go to the so called 'civil rights' legislation in the 1960's. Even today many are called 'racist' so why not jail them?

Whites better get up off their knees. Not only is our nation in peril but your children and grandchild will grow up in a very hostile place.

But I kind of laugh at how the spirit of Jesus when actually manifested looks to them. Maybe kind of like a super-Brahmin. That’s why I got called “champ.” They probably don’t know the whole bible, though, so their ability to frame the idea is limited.

It’s not my “religion” I am seeing pitted in this battle. It’s my God. He is remarkably indifferent about men’s traditions about church. ANYBODY who worships Him “in spirit and in truth” is welcome to Him.

I ask people’s prayers for me. I’m just a stupid, idiotic stumble bum on my own, but with God upholding me, the sky’s not even the limit to where I can go.

Au contraire the knees may be exactly the right place to be. Except that this should be before God, not before secular lefties (who think they are God).

Then, affairs gotten straight with God, the actions should follow. Stand up to the bullshit all around.

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” ― George Orwell, 1984

OK that sounds reasonable... that’s how I found out about Gujarat. I mentioned Mr. Thakkar to an Indian colleague in another business. Oh, he’s from northern India. Turns out he’s from Gujarat, the “jewel of western India.” Why did they turn out to be the jewel of western India? Because they believed it possible. They weren’t wallowing around as bad as the rest of India. Now the rest of the spiritual stuff (that they have to stand, by divine fiat, on the heads of lower castes) is wrong, but they at least got part of the vision right.

First they came for the Christmas nativity scenes and I didn’t say anything because I’m not a Christian...

then they came for the Confederate statues and I didn’t say anything because I’m not a Southerner...

Part of the “Indians look out for Indians” phenomenon is not all based on the caste system and can be attributed to the expat phenomenon where foreigners in a country form a tight group with fellow countrymen. American expats in foreign countries form support networks amongst themselves and Indians are no different if this regard. This expat behavior on the part of Indians is not sinister, it is just a fact of human nature.

My issue is with the Indian caste system and how abusive, manipulative, and self-serving Indians of the upper caste can be. To many Brahmins Americans are little better than apes. Bear in mind that India is a very, very, ancient, high civilization that goes back mostly unchanged to the end of the Ice Age. Indian civilization is older than Egyptian civilization and they have made an art form of navigating bureaucracies and social structures, It is what they do.

‘honor’ is racist - they really are using Trump as an excuse to destroy but they could just as easily used Hillary or the fact that frogs jump

It’s not that the alt-left has already got its noose around statues of Washington...

The author of this piece better rethink that. They are already talking about tearing down statues of President Washington, renaming Faneuil Hall in Boston, destroying the Jefferson Memorial, etc. The Left has gone full blown Mao Cultural Revolution. The media, the GOPe, the Democrats, and Hollywood are feeding the beast and fanning the flames.

The communists have even stolen his book. They make it to be right wing fascism that he was warning about, but it was Stalin and communism that he was warning about.

If Hillary were president right now, Christian churches and businesses would be coming down, too.

And oddly enough, most Asians don’t even need so-called affirmative action. They have enough gumption on their own to do quite well.

More than just gumption - intellect as well.

I am convinced that part of the "outrage" from leftist blacks in America stems (in part) on their frustration that despite all the affirmative action programs, the quotas, the monetary scholarships, and other programs - they simply cannot compete on a level playing field in academia and elsewhere.

Some (not all) turn this frustration into violence and thuggery.

Many black students find that once they arrive at college, they struggle to pass even remedial English and electives such as Geology and Psychology that are considered "cake walk" classes for other students.

That is why many blacks gravitate to the useless, dumbed down "Studies" curriculum. Not only is that drivel not scholarship, but they are spoon fed identity politics and their egos are stroked.

As Christians, you and I know that God gives each of us certain gifts. Some are in the body, and some are spiritual. Our gifts are not given to us for our own glory. I believe ALL of our gifts (mental, physical, and spiritual) are given to us so that we can glorify God.

I have no problem admitting that I am not the smartest person in the room. I am not tall, powerful, and I can't do many other things well.

But God gave me other gifts. I didn't sail through undergraduate engineering, but I did pretty well. I found out I was a natural pilot, and made a military career of that.

The problem with the Left, identity politics secularists, and these other racists (and that's what they are) is that think life is all about Them! Not serving God. They are easily deceived and led astray by evil and selfishness.

And it won't end well.

I totally agree about illegals as modern slaves.

By tolerating it we are also complicit in ethnic cleansing of Mexico of its lower class native population. The euro-Mexicans vs the natives and mestizos and the natives and mestizos lose and become enslaved here instead of working on their own country.
