Independent Journal Review (IJR) collected a few unintentionally hilarious Twitter responses from journalists who reported being shaken by President Donald Trump’s aggressiveness in an extraordinary press conference Tuesday that was centered on questions about the weekend’s violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Vanity Fair reporter Gabriel Sherman was actually physically ill: “I am totally rattled by that presser. Chest tight, stomach queasy. Feel sick”:
Perhaps he should have his testosterone checked. It seems seriously depleted. But then, he does write for Vanity Fair.
Magazine editor David Lytle tweeted his empathy for Sherman: “I vomited on election night. Today, I bawled for 20 minutes. The stress and anxiety brought on by a threatening president is overwhelming”:
NBC’s Chuck Todd reportedly said on the air that the press conference gave him “the wrong kind of chills.”
“Honestly I’m a bit shaken by what I just heard, and I suspect it’s not just me,” he added.
Yahoo News editor Garance Franke-Ruta accused the President of “defending the nighttime white supremacist protest at UVA with torches”
CNN’s Brian Stelter echoed this concern, saying that “Trump risks sounding like a spokesman for the Unite the Right rally right now”
Trump claimed that “both sides” were to blame for the violence in Charlottesville, meaning the white supremacists and the “alt-left” radicals. That fair and balanced approach wasn’t what the left-leaning media wanted to hear.

For almost 8 years I’ve been telling anyone who would listen that the Left see “1984” as an instruction manual, not a warning....If George Orwell could see what’s going on in The West, HE would no doubt be nauseous.
We saw this side of Trump in the second debate. He was written off as dead following the Billie Bush recording. Then, he came out of his corner fighting. It was awesome. That debate and his entire campaign should be studied. It was historic. But the other side is still in denial.
Most people see the riot as it is: a fracas between two competing groups.
That the media chooses to back leftist rioters and ignore their very violent actions over the past three years is so obvious, one can ignore the hysterical umbrage emanating from
the chattering class.
Pussies - the whole bunch of ‘em. For the next press conference the White House should have a goodie bag on every chair. A pacifier. A blankie. Those little toast things that moms take to church for their babies to drool on.
They’re also probably shaken by Judge Moore’s vote total in the Alabama primary last night . . .
President Trump b*tch slapped and bulldozed the rats in the media.
Their agenda is clear, and Trump risks running right into it. They want him to fire Bannon for a start.
But what’s pathetic are the Marco Rubios, and Paul Ryans taking cheap shots at the president.
I think perhaps he could have been less combative, but let’s face it, he realizes that they, the media in that room, are an obstruction as are the democrats.
I love that our president is not backing down. Not one inch. Any bully, waiting in the wings, better think twice about messing with him. This includes rogue countries.
Anyone here have some comments on Charles Kruathammer, who cam out last night saying that Trump does not have a heart, and in essence doesn’t care about people etc. I am sick to death with the commentators on that show.

Gabriel Sherman sounds like he had a heart event, should get himself checked out. Also, his last name is a microaggression and he should change it while he is at it.
