"California is the only thing keeping the Democratic Party relevant on the national scale. Republicans have won every run-off race in 2017 and just picked up another governor. The Democratic Party is in shambles. "Were it not for California, Trump would have won the popular vote by almost 1.5 million. Most importantly, without the California Congressional caucus in Washington, the Republican edge in the House of Representatives almost doubles."
It's looking better and better.
"Whatever remains of old California will disregard classic liberal values in favor of modern day progressivism, which is a bizarre mixture of anarchy and fascism"

"But Texas and Florida dont have Hollywood and all the coastal progressives. And, the majority of counties in both states have voted Republican in presidential elections, whereas in CA its been 50/50."Yes, and America's steady flow toward self-destruction will be slowed and perhaps reversed when the steady flow of anti-American propaganda and political pressure are brought to a halt.

If we can get rid of California, eliminating illegals will be easy.

"Texas v. White (1869), U.S. Supreme Court case in which it was held that the United States is an indestructible union from which no state can secede."Other Supreme Court decisions have been reversed, e.g. Dred Scott, Brown v Board of Education, et al.

Yeah...having the GOP control the House, Senate, and Whitehouse has been awesome so far! Look at all of the awesome things Ryan and McConnell have accomplished!

Let the Southern Division go too.
The idea of a territory is a good one. These people have proven that they are incapable of governing themselves.
Also, don't forget the Monroe Doctrine.

Yes but....
To reclaim California, there must be the will to do so. If the consensus is that America is better off without California, there will be no effort to enforce the court decision to drag the crap back into the Union.
Disclaimer: yes, I know that musc in fact most of the geographical area is not all that bad, and is in fact good

We need to figure out how to keep California but eject the nutcases. They’re highly susceptible to propaganda; maybe we could persuade them all to move to North Korea or Venezuela or Zimbabwe.

If CA were to leave, illegals in their land would instantly become citizens of the new nation by proclamation of the new government. It would have to be absolutely clear that CA could never return, given that government’s policy of open borders.

Don'r forget if you get rid of California you also have to replace all the revenue you eliminated too, welcome to your tax increase. And it was the Federal government that was/is responsible for all those illegals we are
all pissed off about.
But none of this tearjerking, buttsore complaigning means a damn thing because the Calexit has no more chance of succeeding anymore than than the Texit or other four or five states with morons pushing the movements.

You are of course correct.
The way I see to resolve the issue best is to have a repeat of the Big’un.
I think the loss of San Francisco or LA to an earth quake would tip the balance.

Dred Scott wasn’t overturned. It was rendered moot by the passage of the 14th Amendment. Brown v Board is still the law of the land but you are correct that any Supreme Court decision can be reversed. Its just that Texas v White has not been reversed over the last 148 years.

Thank you for that!
Now, can you find any legislation that was passed and signed by POTUS that explicitly states the same thing?

under CALexit, Federal military bases are likely to remain. The essential ones will remain but the ones that exist only because of political favor won't.
