Nothing new. Anybody remember the 1960 Democrat convention in Chicago?

Obama threw the first punch long ago.

The city could have told BLM & Antifa they could protest in another section across town or on another day. If they violated their permit, then they would be arrested. No permit - arrested.

Free speech & freedom of assembly for all citizens, regardless of the fact that a message may be repugnant to you!

BLM, Antifa, global Communists, Islamic terrorism, the opposition media, Paris Climate accords, the Koran, Sharia and Hadith are so very repugnant to me.

The city’s gross failure to govern, lead and manage the exercise of each group’s Civil Rights to peacefully protest is what happened.

They wanted a political Democrat drama to launch McCauliff as leader of the left! Gads a Global communist and Clinton stooge. Bletch!

The entire premise of the article is wrong. Political violence is not all over the place.

These are contrived isolated incidents. Don’t fall for the BS.

"he Unite the Right people had a valid, legal permit to be there. Their event was planned and scheduled weeks in advance. The antiFa and Black Lies Matter hoard had no permit to be there. The police had the DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY to bring enough men, and equipment, including barriers to keep the two sides separated. This result was as pre-planned by the authorities so as to give the media something else with which to bash white people in general, conservatives and Trump in particular. It is reported that the DoJ has launched a Civil Rights investigation, and if they have any guts at all, they will conclude that the rights of the Unite the Right group were the one whose rights were violated, both by the leftist thugs, but first by the authorities, who willfully allowed them to be first attacked, followed by the cancellation of their permit AFTER then event had started."

Minus the pre-planning for the press, I was thinking along similar lines. The more I read about this, the lack of permits for the other side, the funneling out of the Alt-Righters into a powder keg, and all the players involved including the mayor, the police chief, and city council, I can see civil rights laws suits flying all over the place like a swam of bees. Put aside the fact that the alt-right and alt-left on the scene that day might have infiltrated with names and monikers that none of us would ever be associated with, that is a given. And, the kid in the car, he is in deep yogurt period, indefensible. IMHO at the point this is a law enforcement matter and a battleground for attorneys. I want to know more about the Helicopter's crash, and my guess is that investigation will be in the hands of the NTSB/FAA and other L.E. agencies. A posting yesterday discussed spinning out of control. If so that denotes either a mechanical failure of the tail-rotor ( a coincidence to make an awful day even worse ), or was it an exogenous event, or pilot error (aka did they hit something by getting to close to the trees, other tall object etc). If it is exogenous, then that takes this into a whole different dimension.

The difference being at that time, Democrat Chicago mayor Richard Daley had the Cajones to not put up with the bullshit. Called out LE, busted some heads, and the crap went away.

I think this answers the question of what happens when one result of the Democrats hissy fit, ANTIFA, meets another, the Confederacy.

"If we demand that violence cease, then police have to stop providing it a safe space. "

It's ironic that two cops gave their lives while keeping their brothers in their safe places, away from all of the violence- which they should have been POLICING! BTW, besides the driver, was anyone else arrested?

Yeah. It’s not like America is overrun with Jews. I know a few jewish people and if you didn’t already know they were jewish you wouldn’t know they were jewish.
The rest BLM, etc. are pretty obvious.
Plus jewish people are not advocating to get rid of the white race.
I just don’t get it.

No, police exist to protect the leftist oligarchy. Police are unionized; police are leftist. Police chiefs are usually anti-2nd commies, especially in urban environs.

It does not matter if a rank-and-file officer is a rule-of-law conservative: He does not set policy!

Police are usurped and subverted by the Left, just like all the other government bureaucracies.

Look at San Jose Convention Center!

From what I saw they looked like they came out of central casting.

Tiki torches?

Costume helmets?

BLM terrorists have been known to assassinate police officers.

No surprise why the cops pulled out.

“no go zones”

I really is immaterial who threw a first punch and much more germane when people can’t exercise their freedom of speech and assembly without being beaten up. If these were union groups who were being attacked for marching, the press would be up in arms about these vigilante attacks on the public.

This, really, is where the problem is. Protest and assembly reserved as an exclusive right for liberals; conservatives who dare do such a thing shall be characterized and vilified and attacked in the streets.

It is the rise of the brown shirts who suppressed all rationality in Germany.
