Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail Superintendent Martin Kumer identified the suspect behind the deadly Charlottesville Car Crash to the Washington Post.
The suspect is 20-year-old James Alex Fields of Ohio.

I also believe you have a right to defend yourself. Why would you blame the driver of the car if it is true that he was being attacked by a mob which one of us is going to volunteer to take his place in that car and be beaten to a pulp probably suffering brain damage if you’re not lucky enough to be killed
There is something in law about holding the causers of a crime at fault.
In this case that would be the violent counter-protesters who deliberately frightened the driver.
Doubt the media lets that get much play.

There is absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION for this man’s actions. None whatsoever. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
And I would say the same with respect to the rabid anti-Trump guy who shot his neighbor to death, as reported by the Gateway Pundit yesterday.
Each “alleged” perpetrator killed an innocent victim whose politics differed from his own. The shooter was a deranged Democrat. The guy in the car was a deranged Republican.
In the former instance, only one media outlet of which I am aware reported the party affiliation of the shooter. But every media outlet from here to Kingdom Come has led with the fact that the driver of the car was a “white supremacist.”
If he put it into reverse after crash, why didn’t he reverse/back out, rather than ram forward?

Many of those “innocent victims” today were carrying iron bars and sticks. All of them were standing in the street, illegally. I’m sorry they got hit but that’s what can happen when you stand in the street.
