Didn’t the climate schmucks say warmer weather will produce more hurricanes and stronger storms? It was pretty quiet here in Florida last year. And the year before that, and the year before that....

Whatshisname, the NASA guy shepherding the scam, was forced to release the raw data one year, and people found that, like your photo, A/C exhaust heat was located next to such stations since the station had been installed, or an asphalt parking lot was put up around a station, etc.

Naturally, the corrupted data was included in Hansen's models and theories.

I believe that forced them to do site surveys of existing stations.

Not to worry. They have been putting recording stations in the hottest, and most sparsely populated areas of the country to keep the fraud rolling.

Get back to me when they start growing wheat on Greenland.
Who trusts the ‘climate liars’?

The only thing “hot” in this report must have been the stovetop they used to cook the data.

If NOAA is involved, it’s political BS.

I wonder what they would do if they had to also explain this year so far? This report buys them another year of BS. They are completely ignoring the current year which nullifies last year’s data even if true.

‘What would it be without el nino?’

they could have just said the warm-up was caused by the natural el nino, and nobody would have said boo about it...which is why they had to throw in the unsupportable human induced nonsense...

Oddly enough, this has been one of coolest summers
I can remember here in north Georgia.
We haven’t broken 100 and only 90+ a few days.
I expect a colder than normal winter with more snow
this year.

“The increase in temperature ranged from 0.81–1.01. degrees F (0.45°–0.56°C) above the 1981-2010 average.”

“According to four independent datasets analyzed, the record-breaking globally averaged sea surface temperature for 2016 was 0.65–0.74 degrees F (0.36–0.41 degrees C) higher than the 1981–2010 average and surpassed the previous mark set in 2015 by 0.02–0.05 degrees F (0.01–0.03 degrees C).”

“Global upper-ocean heat content neared record high. Heat in the uppermost layer of the ocean, the top 2,300 feet (700 meters), SAW A SLIGHT DROP compared to the record high set in 2015. The findings are consistent with a continuing trend of warming oceans.”

Yes, I would challenge any of these “scientists” to point out exactly what contribution was supposedly man-made, versus El Nino (or any other known, natural process e.g. volcanic output)…

It doesn’t matter how they vote. What matters is who counts the votes.

Here in central New Mexico too.

Summer before last in my part of the state, temps on any given day averaged about five degrees below what had become normal.

The next summer it averaged about eight to ten degrees below what had been normal.

This summer it has averaged twelve to fifteen degrees below what had become normal.

We haven’t hit 100F yet at all this year. Usually have about eight to ten days where the temperature goes above 100 for two to four hours by now.

Last summer we had about three days that went over 100F for an hour or two.

Didja ever notice how none of these articles claiming that the current year is "the hottest year on record" never give any concrete temperature figures (either past or present) to support the claim?

It's almost as if they're expecting us to take their word for it or something.
