They were most likely looking for UNRELATED incriminating evidence such as prohibited downloads on his computer. But they will not find any such thing. Manafort is not stupid.
Meanwhile, Hillary remains footlose and fancy free.

Any guess what possibly Manafort have to incriminate Trump? Manafort left the campaign very early. His contacts and dealings were in Ukraine, not Russia. Me thinks they were fishing for an outside possibility of child porn on his computer -or- tax code violations.

I was making preparations to leave United States if Hillary had won. I did extensive investigations into immigration requirements by New Zealand. They require passing English proficiency test and other financial or skill requirements.

You’re absolutely right MinuteGal. It was shocking to read of this action against Manafort.
Look at all Clinton admitted to in her eMails, and yet she is above reproach and a guy like Manafort is the focus of a criminal investigation.
This all defies reasoned logic.
Our corrupt national media and federal agencies and the politically correct college campus environment are very troubling. If we don’t get these three things under control quickly, this nation is headed into the same kind of darkness that formed NAZI Germany.
Another very troubling issue is BLM and other radical racist and violent groups that have seemed to attain some sort of accepted and protected status.
We’ve got the foundations of a very dangerous situation here.
It will shrink, that is 100% certain. But not in an instant this time. When the FED sets interest rates well bellow REAL rate of inflation, as it has for 8 years, with banks paying almost nothing for savings, stock market is the only game in town. So long as interest rates stay well below REAL inflation (not the ridiculous gov’t CPI which ignores so many volatile items) the stock market is likely to stay stubbornly high. When finally sanity prevails in FED and interest rates are back up to reality, I expect the bond market to crash first. That will be the canary in the coal mine for the stock market.
Observe that this raid took place soon after Manafort appeared before a congressional committee. IIRC it was a senate committee investigating Russia collusion. I missed watching that on TV, so do not know what Manafort said to trigger the raid.

What could he have said? There was no Russian collusion.
My WAG is Manafort said something incriminating about Hillary. So Mueller is after finding something illegal in Manafort’s finances, in order to turn him against POTUS. Standard operating procedure on how to get the higher ups in hierarchy.
