I think you just described how hollywood introduced homosexuality into mainstream America.
I think the first homo character I remember was in "All in the Family".
Then IIRC, shows like Soap (Billy Crystal?) and Three's Company introduced the "goofy but harmless" character.
By then the sexual revolution was well underway in the USA.
I think the gay guy on all in the family was Rosie Greer from the NFL.
I believe next is polyamory or group marriages. not one male spouse and serval women but serval men and serval women declaring they are a family with two or more husbands and two or more wives. there have been serval fore’s into this in television. examples the Battlestar Galactica spin off Caprica. the current TV show The Expanse has a character that comes from a polyamories family. if you check out HBO after dark they have a soft-core porn show on the subject and net-flix has serval documentaries on the subject.
I have noticed that the left uses entertainment to try and mainstream these idea starting out in science fiction then slowly bringing up acceptance.
think of how you can put a crab in cold water and slowly bring it up to a boil with out the crab realizing it is being boiled alive.
I bet with in the next 3 years we will see a sympathetic comedy about a polyamories’ family.
More than that, it presumes to redefine reality itself. By saying I -- a male -- am a female, and demanding that everyone pay lip service to that contradiction, I demonstrate that reality is nothing but a product of force. And if I can alter reality by force, then I have ultimate control over the public sphere.
The same thing applies to homo "marriage." If I pretend that two men buggering each other is the equivalent of the most fundamental institution in all of history, and I can use the power of law -- the threat of violence -- to insist that you at least mouth your acceptance, then I control your social interactions; you do not.

Just in the last few weeks, there have been stories about sex robots and transgender “men” having babies. This story - even if possibly wrong about some of the details or time-frame - seems a plausible view into what is coming. The satanic grin behind all this transgenderism is becoming more palpable. We now have educated people embracing what is a nihilistic denial of gender, biology, reason, logic, and God.
It started out with "We just want the government to leave us alone in the privacy of our bedrooms."
Now we have the government demanding that business people participate in queer ceremonies and activities or face punishment.
Soon the government will be demanding that private individuals do the same or face discrimination charges.
