Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) wants Republicans to embrace the foolish Republican National Committee’s (RNC) “autopsy” report, which was released after Mitt Romney’s 2012 loss and recommended amnesty for illegal immigrants as its only policy solution.
Speaking to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Monday, Flake said Republicans had to be a “more welcoming party” on immigration and said cutting legal immigration in half, as President Donald Trump proposed last week, is going in the “wrong direction.”

What is it with these people who think the US taxpayer has an obligation to bring in foreigners not because they are beneficial to the nation, but solely because they want to come here?

A more welcoming party? They still haven’t welcomed the duly elected President of the United States.
Actually, he needs to keep talking and telling the voters who he is. At least he isn’t acting conservative because he is headed into an election like most of the rinos. With a little luck, maybe the citizens of Arizona will decide one liberal senator is enough.

Regarding the amnesty question:

Any mother of a toddler recognizes this conversation.
Nothing you tell the toddler will satisfy the question, “Why?”
The father of the toddler would explain, quite simply and with finality, “Shut up!”

Not really, Flake is building his democrat base and I will bet it works. Arizona Republicans bitch about McCain and Flake but they still have open primaries, how stupid is that?
This has to be intentional. As others have said he probably is getting ready to switch parties.
Yet one more example on how Trump has flushed out the Uniparty wing of the gop.
How about this, Senator Flake? How about we make one legal immigration spot for every three illegals who are deported?
That would be an explosion in legal immigration, we’d get people who actually want to be part of our country rather than just the place to get a summer job (that extends throughout their life.)
Let me guess, that too goes against the spirit of the report?
Let's not confuse the issue. Flake is not defending illegal immigration. If it wasn't for legal immigration most of us wouldn't be here.
The notion that cutting legal immigration in half has anything to do with being "welcoming" of immigrants is intellectually dishonest. If I cut my child's allowance in half to meet the family budget, it has nothing to do with love for my child.
Legal immigrants come here because we are a magnanimous and generous nation. We own them NOTHING and I'll be damned if some politician is going to judge me or my country because we choose to limit and direct our immigration policy.
Furtheremore, if we didn't have 12+ million ILLEGAL aliens in the country, we would be able to accept many more LEGAL immigrants.
Also, We need to deem adherents to Islam a terrorist organization and reject and remove all Muslims from the nation.
