Achieving the global temperature goals laid out in the Paris Climate Agreement is unlikely
Science Daily ^ | 8/4/17 | Science Daily

The Paris Climate Agreement of 2016, which saw 195 nations come together in the shared goal of ameliorating climate change, set forth an ambitious goal of limiting global temperature rise to less than 2 degrees Celsius. Since then, many have wondered, is that even scientifically possible? Unfortunately, the odds aren't looking good.

“Unfortunately, the odds aren’t looking good.”

If the new Ice Age comes soon, then it’s all cool.

The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growin’ thin
Engines stop running, but I have no fear
‘Cause London is drowning, and I, I live by the river…

The assumption is that the present temperature of the earth is the “perfect” temperature. How stupid is that?? There’s no such thing.

It’s really funny that these people think they can control the temperature of the planet.

Who has the Sun switch?

Wonder how long it will take for them to finally breakdown and admit that when it happens?

“... The assumption is that the present temperature of the earth is the “perfect” temperature ...”
-
And another assumption is that anyone can accurately determine
what the “temperature of the earth” actually is at any point in time.
(what is it right now; and how is that determined?)

You are absolutely right. They really are not sure what the temperature actually is. It is an ?educated? guess.

Human beings, and in fact, all God’s creatures on this good green earth have proven to be remarkably adaptable organisms, for the most part. Little things like minute changes in the composition of earth’s atmosphere, or an insignificant shift in the latent heat of the entire planet, do not lead to mass extinctions or serious die-backs of existing populations. And because of the really massive number of factors involved, that odds that mankind could (or should) make a measurable effect on the whole ecosystem of the planet are about as significant as that of a specific anthill somehow being able to be granted the same power.

All the other anthills did not get a vote?

It’s after the US quit financing the foolishness.

Though the worldwide economy would have to slow down "tremendously" for the findings in the paper to be erroneous, Startz said, he still hopes that somehow, for the sake of the planet, his predictions will prove incorrect. "Believe me," he said, "there's nothing we would like better than to be wrong."

Fear not, you socialist fraud. You will be wrong.

Achieving the global temperature goals laid out in the Paris Climate Agreement

Are we all clear that the "Paris Accord" has nothing to do with "the weather" and everything to do with Global Totalitarian Government?

The Paris accords are a Seinfeld agreement - an agreement to do whatever each country felt like doing, which in most cases is nothing.

This study is worthless. The say it is "data driven," but it relies on the assumption that CO2 levels are the key driver of global temperatures, still an unproven hypothesis. But, since global temps have been flat the last 15 years, while CO2 concentrations have dramatically increased, the actual, real world, evidence suggests CO2 is not the driver the alarmists and their computer models claim.

After a snowball earth?

Nope, Global Warming scientists will predict that, after it happens, too.
