Seven Alabama delegates for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election have endorsed Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) for the Senate seat now held by Sen. Luther Strange (R-AL), including Alabama State Representative Ed Henry, who was the chairman of Trump’s campaign in that state.

“I worked tirelessly to get Donald Trump elected because I saw the need to bust up the status quo in D.C. For that same reason I am supporting Mo Brooks,” Henry told Breitbart News.

“He is a man of character, willing to sacrifice his own political capitol to do what is best for America,” Henry said. “We will not continue to be the greatest country the world has ever known if we continue to send self-serving politicians to D.C. like our current Senator Strange.”

“I think this campaign’s mainly about issues and ethics,” Bradley Williams, another Trump delegate in Alabama, said during the endorsement announcement in Alabama on Wednesday and reported by AL.com. “For the past seven months I know Congressman Brooks has been working hand and hand with the president.”

Either Mo Brooks or Roy Moore will be better than McConnell man Luther Strange!

I think any of them would be OK but being a social conservative, Roy Moore would be my man if I could vote in Alabama.

Since I live a few miles South of the line, I can’t.

Strange’s Senate appointment was payback for not investigating a corrupt governor. Strange is dirty.

I will be voting Brooks, even though he was pretty vehemently against Trump in the lead up to the election. Luther Strange was ok as AG here in Alabama but I fear is a suck up to McConnell and the other senate critters. I like Judge Moore and agreed with his ten commandments stance BUT I think he grandstanded too much with that as well. It was almost like he started that with good intentions but then he forgot about his reason for standing up for it in the first place because he saw the attention he was getting. I think Mo is the right guy though.

Importantly, it is unlikely that any of the three candidates can win outright. So the idea is that if Roy Moore and Mo Brooks take the 1st and 2nd place in the runoff, it will shut out and eliminate Luther Strange, and be a major rebuke to the GOP establishment.

“Willing to sacrifice his own political capitol”

He’s going to sacrifice Montgomery? It’s okay, I guess most folks in AL probably think it’s Tuscaloosa.

We have to have Senators on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.

We have far too many Cheap Labor Express Republicans in the Senate already.

The problem is that it most likely will be a run-off between Strange and either Moore or Brooks.

Big Luther is been smearing Mo Brooks by claiming he supports San Fran Nan. You would have completely ignorant of who Mo Brooks is, or stupid, to believe this smear.

Same for us. Brooks or the Judge. The RINOs in DC are putting all their heads together and pushing for Luther. Today I got a political phone call from our local congress critter mike rogers pushing for Brooks. Luther is supported by the republican establishment who are all for him.

I looked up some stuff on this race yesterday and the only poll I could come up with had Luther at 35%, the Judge at 33% and Brooks at 13%. Maybe there are other polls but that is the last one I could find.

And now dirt bag McConnell is spending $8 million dollars in a deep red state primary just so he can have another house boy in the Senate. That money would be much better spent in a blue state like Missouri or Nevada.

So Brooks and Moore will be splitting the conservative vote and GOPe wins again?

That does seem to be the plan, unfortunately.

Mo Brooks is the best choice IMO. Moore Moore is a good God-fearing man but is stuck on social issues. He would be the sanctimonious social issues martyr and one-trick pony. Luther Strange is your typical politician running non-stop ads attacking Mo because he did not support Trump in the primaries. The primaries are over! Mo is a solid conservative. I have always liked MO and think he would do well in the Senate.

Having said all of that — any one of these three men would be preferable to a lot of current US Senators.

Runoff elections will fix this but that’s up to each state to decide.

That's why McConnell and the Chamber of Commerce will be throwing everything they have to get Strange elected

I like Mo Brooks but think it best if he dropped out and endorsed the good Judge, based on the polling data (if reliable).

Keep that strange RINO Strange out! If McTurtle supports Strange, then I want the Judge.

Wise up people run 1 conservative and only 1 or the base gets split and you end up with a McTraitor.

Is going to have throw the rule book out and get behind some folks in primaries he may lose what little party support he has but will pay off long term and this is a war.
