I am suspicious of any article that starts off by saying, “the country’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants”. This is approximately the same figure that has been used since Reagan was in office. I am not sure about other areas in the country, but where we live there are at least several times as many “illegal immigrants” as there were 30 years ago.
