California has a cyber-crime division set up for just this thing. Jim Robinson should report it to his state's law enforcement, at the very least, and let them start a case file on it.
Conservatives cannot be made to feel that the agencies of government are off-limits to them or are worse than the criminals they are there to investigate.

I don’t know anything about the tech, and am amazed at the job you do here. But the way things are going, might it pay to just assume that in ten years, things may get much, much, worse, with not just these little actors, but genuine American and Deep State, and high end private actors all set on FR by the powers that be?
If you guys do decide a major changeover is needed, I would assume a civilizational/debt collapse in the near future, with civil unrest and the machine desperate to shut this place down. Assume them doing whatever they can, and see if any of the options fit that particular scenario better. If you have to change, you do know that is coming, so get it addressed in the process.
I would also assume this has something to do with Trump winning. Everyone who had a hand in that has altered the course of the deep state and the establishment. I can’t imagine they will allow that to continue without some resistance. That this really began after his win is a sign.
But aside from that, good job at being that big a thorn in the side of the machine. Not many ever affect American history like that.
Thank-you for that info!
Second it that conservatives should not be made to feel like criminals.
Yes it is.
And in recognition of that fact and all the hard work you and John do, I just stuck $100 in the mailbox headed your way!
Please, please, please dont put all the useless junk back in...
;-)
I have pretty much noticed this site would go slow and I had thought it was my smartphone giving me problems.
So a DOS attack is different type of hacking attack?
Thank you Jim and John for the greatest conservative site on the web, I’m not going anywhere else.
Prayers up that you all can swiftly put the screws to the criminal/s trying to destroy FR.
Essentially think of it as asking for a range of posts in a thread. Then before the server sends back the response, kill the browser and ask for a different range. But do that automated and as fast as possible. There are probably more complex examples that I would not know about.
In contrast a hacking attack would try to take over the server and run the attackers code. Then the attacker can do anything, e.g. erase the database. Then John would have to stop the database server, reinstall the database software, and restore the data from a backup That much more dangerous type of hack has not happened here successfully to my knowledge (which I admit is superficial).
Thank you very much, djf!!
Flying? Since when? I’ve been online since 5 a.m. Pacific and even as late as a few minutes ago see pages slow loading or failing to completely load. Now, today, I have duplicate posts every time (something new for me). I observed inconsistencies throughout the morning with the You Have Posts and the posts. Timing is off or lagging. I have accessed via iPad and iPhone using Safari and Chrome on a desktop. Bottom line, I still see and am experiencing issues.
This appears to be a correct analysis. Any way to track this operation back to where it originates? Inquiring minds want to know...
I am still here and keeping my monthly donation going. You have no worries on where I stand as it is with you and FR.
I am not a conspiracy theorist but I think this may be an attack on FR coordinated with the Democrat/Communists. They really need to stop any conservative thinking and since FR is still a high profile web site they want to take it down.
Just my opinion, YMMV.
Take care, Jim, and God bless.
I noticed this morning about 9:30 AM EST that this site went from turtle speed to Warp 6. What happened?
Yeah, I thought it was something like that.
As Ian Fleming said, “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.”
I’m praying for the best. But this is not the first time John got him blocked. The slimey little worm always finds a way to impact us again. He’s not hacking in, by the way. He’s finding ways to suck the life out of our resources. On the upside, John is finding and fixing resource hogs and bottlenecks.
I actually periodically use about ten different sites to check my company domains, configuration, code (even W3C compliance), email, etc.
interesting thank you
Oh man. What an embarrassment. Does prove, though, that even we Texans have our share of morons.
