Why would Trump send out a tweet, if he was told there were real investigations? And if there were investigations (which they aren't), Sessions (as Trump's AG) would be obligated to inform him of them.

No, the AG would not be obligated to inform the President of an ongoing investigation. Did any one (acting AG Yates) inform Trump on January 20 that there was an ongoing FBI investigation of the Trump campaign that began in July 2016? The answer is no. In the military, it is called command influence when when a person bearing "the mantle of command authority" pressures—or even appears to pressure—military judicial proceedings. Trump does not decide who should or should not be investigated or prosecuted.

The truth is - there are no investigations. You tell everyone to send up a flare of Hope, and perhaps in a few months, years, or decades, we can all learn about these mythical investigations into the real political crimes.

You can't make such an assertion. You would not know if there was an investigation or not. When did you learn of the July 2016 FBI investigation of the Trump campaign, which is still ongoing? I only learned of it this past March when Comey disclosed it to Congress.

President Trump gave Sessions a high honor, and with that came great authority, power, and resources. Sessions squanders that every day, and worse, does nothing as the President fights for his political life due to a circumstance that Sessions is directly responsible for.

BS. Sessions is not the person to blame for the Russia investigation. It was well underway before Sessions ever took office. Both the DOJ and Congress had investigations underway. If Trump had not fired Comey, there would be no special counsel.

Trump can order, or shut down, investigations. He is head of the Executive branch. He did so by ordering a criminal investigation into the leaks of classified information.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/16/us/politics/justice-department-leak-investigation-trump.html

Moreover, he can shut them down (via the AG), but the political fall out from these is usually too great and the media will make any such order The Saturday Night Massacre from Watergate.

"No law forbids a president from making a criminal referral to the Justice Department, but it is unusual for a president to direct the agency to open a criminal investigation into his perceived opponents or to talk publicly about having done so. The White House, under presidents of both parties, has generally restricted direct contact with the Justice Department about prospective investigations to avoid the appearance of politicizing law enforcement."

What things have morphed into is a bastardization of the Constitution. The Justice Dept, and especially the FBI, believe they are some sort of 4th Branch of Government that is a check and balance on the Executive branch, which is the role of Congress.

Moreover, you are misapplying the military analogy of "the mantle of command authority" Yes, that exists in the UCMJ and military system - in certain circumstances, but it not directly applicable to the role of the President and the DOJ by law or by specific policy (only what the media wants to paint is as). On top of that, you are implying (incorrectly) that commander's are hands off vis a vis criminal investigations. As a military member or former military member, you know that Commanders can directly order investigations, and in fact they are compelled to do so under certain conditions. The investigating officials don't even have to be CID, OSI, or NCIS members:

You are talking about Trump and his campaign not knowing they were under FISA surveillance (and as it turns out, illegal surveillance at that), and Trump was informed of it after he became President. Not on 20 Jan, as you stated, but shortly thereafter. He did the right thing and told the world that Obama had done this to him (with the illegal cooperation of the CIA, NSA, and DOG - Clapper ,Rice, and Lynch). The Obama thugs used the guise of "Russia" to illegally spy on the Trump campaign - they themselves, not the campaign, was under "investigation." The FBI under Comey took this and used it as a club over the head of President-elect Trump, and Comey threatened Trump with this information, and the phony "dossier" that McCain turned over to Comey. Trump stated that he knew he was the victim of an attempted blackmail campaign by Comey. We only got the wonderful official "investigation" of this when Sessions recused himself. But I guarantee you that Obama knew all of what was going on.

The fact remains that Trump has told the country that Sessions is "weak" on these matters, and his investigations into Hillary, the leaks, and the illegal surveillance are going no where. Trump would (and does) know the truth of what Sessions is or is not doing.

BS. Sessions is not the person to blame for the Russia investigation. It was well underway before Sessions ever took office. Both the DOJ and Congress had investigations underway. If Trump had not fired Comey, there would be no special counsel.

Your friendship or admiration for Sessions on some tertiary immigration issue continues to cloud your sense of logic. Trump is not to "blame" for this Russia witch hunt, but Sessions is directly to blame for his cowardly recusal. He NEVER had to do that. It was not "called for under the law" as some have stated. Sessions was rolled over by a question from that election stealing failed comedian, Al Franken, about what HE (Sessions) had done. And when Sessions answer was suspect, he reacted by divorcing himself from his own Justice Dept and leaving Rod Rosenstein to appoint his buddy Mueller (who was a buddy of Comey, who set this up) to persecute Trump and his family.

“The President is going to have to show Congress who is boss soon, or they will continue to ignore him and marginalize him.”

Yeah, it is past time. He could really only count on two years before Democrats might get control of one of the houses. So now it’s down to 18 months. Better get things done or it may not happen.

Someone with such low character using the word, “holy”, borders on blasphemy.

Sessions and Mueller need to be gone. I wanted Trump to pick a VP who didn’t have political ties. One who would believe like he did. Not sure about Pence. The swamp is being drained but it will take years of getting the nwo traitors out of the govt.
