There was a time when migrants entering Europe would go well out of their way to avoid Hungary.

It was an invasion, Laszlo Toroczkai, the mayor of Asotthalom, told the Daily Caller. Illegal immigration is a crime in a normal country. Its not a normal thing to break into a country.

How appropriate for this to take place in modern day Adolf’s home country, eh?

Manning the US border doesn’t require a massive number of new border agents. Reposition some regular force units near the border and make border patrol part of their training and responsibility. Maintaining a perimeter is a vital defensive skill as we’ve seen in Iraq and Afghanistan (and sadly we’ve seen the tragic consequences of infiltrations into the “green zones”), so the training won’t be wasted.

No reporting of this spectacular success story by MSM. Success based on common sense.

South Korea has fences topped with razor wire all along its northern border, as well as along any rivers near the border. Guard posts and lights are placed at intervals. In addition, the supporting columns of freeway bridges over the rivers are wrapped with razor wire to prevent anyone from climbing up and gaining access to the roadways. Those South Koreans are serious about keeping the North Koreans out. North Koreans who want to defect must escape through China.
Fences work.

Tiny little Belize which is bordered by Mexico and Guatemala, two of America's largest sources of illegal immigrants, has little problem with invaders because they enforce their laws as well.

"When laws are not enforced there is no law." a paraphrase from Daniel Webster.
Laws within the United States of America are selectively enforced today and have been for a very long time.

I still grit my teeth when I think of that useless slug in a bad rug Trent Lott telling a story about an imaginary billy goat he claimed to have owned. He said, roughly, no matter how good that fence was, it didn't stop Billy. The story was intended to illustrate why building a wall with Mexico wouldn't work.
Just like Al Gore's fantasy tale about handling tobacco, that story made scream at my TV set. ANY animal (or man) can be stopped with a good fence. And I'd almost bet my house that Trent Lott never owned a goat.
