I don’t think it is common knowledge either. Maybe Trump doesn’t know it.
LOL
Well if that is the goal he certainly accomplished it. Sessions is winning over Trump in the public opinion and DC...except here of course.
It’s weird to see some of these characters come to his defense..like Maddow.
I personally don’t think it is what he is doing. He is tormenting Sessions. I know many here think it is appropriate but I don’t. The awful comment about Sessions loyalty when no one else wanted to come out on his behalf really grates me....and makes me sad.
Agree.

Despite Trumps intense criticism of Sessions, Corker says he doesnt get the sense that Trump and his White House staff are taking steps to fire him. Corker says hes not aware of any professional reason for Sessions to step down.
Trump has to get rid of Mueller. Failure is not an option. The reason we have Mueller is because Sessions wobbled out of the gate and recused himself on Russia which allowed Rosenstein to appoint his good buddy Mueller.
Trump’s agenda is not asset forfeiture and a war on weed. Sessions needs to go so the recusal goes away and a new AG can appoint someone else as special counsel or just shut the investigation down entirely.
A person familiar with internal White House discussions about Sessions said Trump's attacks on Sessions are a public airing of what the president has been saying for months privately - that he blames Sessions's recusal for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate possible ties to Russia. But the person cautioned that neither the president nor his advisers have articulated a plan for replacing Sessions with someone else, and the angry words are primarily a venting of the president's anger, rather than a calculated effort to drive the attorney general out of office.
Trump launches new attacks on Sessions - WaPo
By Matt Zapotosky and Devlin Barrett July 26
"Just venting his frustration." LOL.
Fire Sessions.
There are 100s of replacements.
Sessions refuses to perform the simple AG job.
Politicians are cucks.
Trump term is 1/8 past already. Quit wasting time.
You’re fired.
Never hire a politician to do a man’s job.
You’re fired.
This isn’t new news now. The WaPo just wants to keep the angst up to hurt Trump.
Best way to handle this crap is keep our eye on the ball and not get tangled up in emotions.
Trump is on a warpath because these enemies that are out to get him are also attacking his family.
The only way to rein them in is to make them pay. Sessions needs to do that. If he cannot, we need someone who will.
With the treachery Trump has had to put up with he knows now that it is war. No more Mr Nice Guy.
With all the praise that the left has given Sessions recently, how disingenuous they will appear when he goes after the Clinton cabal and Comey. The Plan maybe??
Here in FR a few days ago, someone mentioned that he/she had info that something big was expected to come down on July 27. It wasn’t in the context of anything in particular, IIRC. I’ve been trying to find it.
What ever happened to appropriate line, "I serve at the pleasure of the president".
You think the average Trump voter is being won over by Sessions over Trump? I don't. Only in the swamp...
I see a lot of rationalization for Trump’s behavior on this site...so the question becomes..what if this isn’t a ruse in agreement between the two.. and Trump is just that mean and vindictive to someone who supported him when no on in DC would touch him.
Each will have to answer that question for themselves.
4chan. Anon poster..suppose to be insider.. Claims today.
>>Not just the GOPe, but the Democrats too.<<
I’m skeptical that Trump has orchestrated this, but whether he has or not, you’re right. His criticism of Sessions has cajoled the Democrats into fully backing Sessions just as he was ready to announce leak investigations. And we know who most of the leaks have been aimed at.
The only way to understand Trump's actions and, indeed, the actions of his generals, is too place them against a backdrop of "The Art of War."
Think about this excerpt from TAOW...
"All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near [etc., etc., etc.,etc. -- you get the point."Now think about what we are seeing and hearing.
Sessions appears diminished. Trump is bad-mouthing him to the NYTimes.Nuff said.Tillerson takes time off. Not a vacation...he is NOT RESIGNING.
The WH seems disorganized, confused.
Trump himself seems out of control.
BTW, if I understand it correctly, Heather Nauert, spokeswoman for Tillerson, announced that while TRex was taking time off, he would be back in DC Wednesday afternoon for a meeting with Lebanon PM Hariri. Announcement made Tuesday...that's a lot of time off.
See my post #78.
Have you seen how much time he is “taking off”
I dont even understand the need for the announcement unless it is like a vacation time number of days. I know Trump is getting ready to take about two 1/2 weeks off about the same time that Congress recesses.
