President Trumps decision Tuesday to attack Attorney General Jeff Sessions over Sessions position on Hillary Clintons various scandals only serves to highlight Trumps own hypocrisy on the issue and is likely to fuel concerns from his base who see Sessions at the best hope to fulfill Trumps immigration policies.
Trumps attack is the latest in a series of shots Trump has launched at Sessions in recent days, annoyed still over Sessions decision to recuse himself from Russia investigations in March. But Trump himself was the one who flip-flopped on whether to prosecute Clinton.

How gentlemanly, honorable, and loyal is THAT?
But Donald Trump is President, so if Sessions can't been an effective AG—due to his recusal, or for any other reason—he should step aside. If the recusal fiasco was his only mistake, that would be one thing. But there were others, such as his failure to disclose meeting the Russian ambassador.
Sessions isn't the Second Coming of Christ any more than Donald Trump is, but come on guys! Can all the Sessions fanboys (of which I used to be one) at least admit that he made a mistake in not consulting—or at least notifying—his own President on this ridiculous recusal?
What kind of GOP POTUS appoints ‘rat bastard’ s ??
Who have to fight there way past Dem Senators on confirmation?
Nothing good comes to mind.
>Trump is feeling trapped and when he feels trapped he lashes out.
Nope. Trump does almost everything for a reason. Only time I’ve seen him lash out is over attacks on his family.
Trump’s the boss, and as soon as he was elected he advocated that the Clinton swamp not be drained.
This is a perfectly fair and apt article from Breitbart.
I would say what Jr and son in law are going through would count as attacks to his family.
Looks like the boss changed his mind back.
Correct .
All Never Trumpers playing games using some anti trump creep at Breitbart as the excuse to bash away. .
The Never Trumpers are swarming here again .

LOL! What an absolute farce this is.
Hell hath no fury like a raphael-lovin cruzhole scorned.
This is either theater to distract everyone or Sessions should resign
Why hasn't Sessions instructed Rosenstein to step aside and allow the third person at Doj person oversee and reel in Mueller .
Mueller was Rosenstein ‘s boss and this is a conflict of interest which can not be corrected but with the recusal of Rosenstein.
Very true and its gotten real old.
When I look at the recusal statement that I just quoted, I just noticed it says “campaigns”. That’s very unfortunate because that means he’s recused himself from investigating Hillary’s campaign.
As did many people, I followed the campaign closely. The stranger-than-fiction, this is the only way to WAKE UP the sleeping giant seemed, and still seems, the only possibility to save the US.
That being said, without AG Sessions and Steve Miller, Trump isn't focused enough on Deplorable issues. I'd gladly wager that the great speeches that will be referred to forever are written by Steve Miller. What's my point? I do not understand going after AG Sessions. His unwavering support of candidate Trump is an important part of the equation. He's doing a lot of important things at Justice. Getting sucked in full-time by the "Russia,Russia,Russia" coup stuff would not give him the time or opportunity to do his job.
I can't help but wonder if President Trump, ever loyal to his family, is more concerned about keeping them from investigative embarrassments than with overall concern about what needs to be done. To that I'd say to President Trump: They're good kids, but beyond that they're adults who can handle it. Trust them to get through the hearings and get back to governing.
Possible but unlikely that he would do it. He's made up his mind on it.
Why would anyone listen to a Obama stacked Doj committee .
FWIW, do your homework. Many of us who are concerned about the lashing out at AG Sessions ARE NOT Never-Trumpers. We’re among the earliest Deplorables, well versed in the journey from the early days, expressing valid concerns.
If Trump did not like those answers, he should have not appointed him after the senate approved him. Withdraw the nomination, if what Sessions promised was a deal killer.
So now, does it make sense that Trump wants Sessions to basically "recuse from everything," that is, resign? Such a deal! All becuase Sessions telegraphed what he would do, but Trump didn't get the message.
You completely missed my point.
