Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!

Problem is that the acting head of the FBI & the person in charge of the Hillary investigation, Andrew McCabe, got $700,000 from H for wife!

That pair of tweets is interesting. Think about the legal process. How did Comey cut Lynch out of the loop? One might say Lynch was weak vs. Hillary, but Lynch never got the case, she allowed (or it happened) that Comey sat on it.

Now we have Trump saying, condensed, “Sessions is weak, but it’s because McCabe is sitting on the Hillary cases.”

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

exactly.

trump is setting something up.

Not sure what Trump is doing here.

It's the TTT

Trump Tweet Theory

Trump puts out multiple Tweets that are essentially true on various Non-PC topics

The MSM is programmed to attack Trump on each Tweet topic

Result....MSM and the Dims going off in all directions

1. Trump subsequently re-Tweets further truthful facts on each topic.

This results in

1. MSM and Dims take time to figure out which Tweet to focus on

2. MSM and Dims exhausted in trying to keep up

3. MSM and Dims expend thousands of column inches and hours of TV time trying to shoot down the TT

4. MSM and Dims shown to be more insane than before

5. Deplorables love Trump some more

6. General public get more irritated with MSM and Dims.

7. All this with 10 Trump Tweets...1,400 character strings at max

8. Game Set and Match to Trump again.

SOrry but this is getting somewhat scrabbled. Trump did signal he wasn’t going after Billary.
That said Sessions does seem more like a pussy cat than a lion.
IF only there was evidence he was going after the big crime dogs.
Even if he ignores Billary there is still a lot of other corruption to go after.
Including the Clinton foundation?

To me, this all looks like a chess move.

Oh, that could very well be true. Trump always seems to be a couple of moves ahead of everyone else. For all we know, this is some kind of set-up in-progress to flush out a leaker.

Heheh. I too have been on the receiving end of some of that heartburn.

But when that happens, I remember the guys on the inside (like Pence and Bannon) say (implicitly) relax and enjoy the ride...Trump is a lot more strategic than he lets on.

It would help if Trump didnt change his positions and opinions so frequently.

See it works:

It's by design....makes the MSM and Dims discombobulated and exhausted in trying to keep up.

-- It is hard to see how Sessions stays given the now daily public humiliation by his boss. --

Today's tweets have a different flavor, "Sessions is weak because McCabe is sitting on Hillary crimes."

At any rate, I believe Sessions has a longer view, and even if Trump is truly pissed at him, give it time, and it'll pass. That is, if Sessions even takes discomfort from the public slamming. I have my doubts that it discomforts him. As you say, he's held up as a scapegoat, fake blame, blame MUST lie elsewhere.

Sessions could easily educate the public why he can't be to blame for actions in cases he is recused from, and he already adequately explained his various recusals. He chooses to NOT do that. He is not opposing Trump.

-- The appointment of Rosenstein may have been Sessions biggest mistake, not the recusal. --

I don't see any of Sessions' recusals was mistaken or too broad. I'll keep an open mind about Rosenstein. I have been biased in favor of him, based on his excellent memorandum about Comey's actions. But he does have a mixed-bag history. I think I should have similar reservations about Wray, too.

I agree with you totally that firing Sessions would be a mistake. It would be such a big mistake that I don't feel any need to explain it or expound on it. I just LOL at the people here who advocate it - careful what you wish for, you might get it.

Not sure what Trump is doing here. Sessions works for him so why not take the issue up with him directly...unless there is another goal. And considering Trump's penchant for manipulating the media, I would definitely think that, yes, there is another strategy at work here.

You've almost taken the words out of my mouth. History shows that Trump is a strategic player who misleads his enemies into believing that he is flailing while he channels them into trap after trap. Twitter gives Trump a strategic weapon that cannot be hidden or suppressed, and which instantly dictates the new narrative for the enemy media. Trump's enemies are certain that they are winning, until suddenly they are not. As before, time will tell.

I don’t think I said Trump should fire Sessions, I pointed out that Sessions should remove his recusal.

The mechanics of how the saturday night massacre came into being are interesting but for more damaging was the damage done to the people’s message. Driven by info divulged from a Grand Jury by a rogue FBI official who was pissed he got passed over for Director, the media and the dem Congress tied up the entire wheels of the executive branch for months if not years finally succeeding in getting Nixon removed over his apparent “cover up” of a third rate burglary of coincidently Dem HQ. Never considered was what was it they were after?

Just like now, there is a media mania to get Trump out of office, without regard to how this is damaging the country and halting his agenda all the while no consideration to how legally, morally, and ethically challenged his opponent and her party were and are.

I learned to enjoy it. The boss has to vent, sometimes for customer relations. I was blamed for many things that weren't in my scope. The boss loved me. I could fix things, and I didn't bristle at being wrongly blamed. I wasn't loyal to him either, I was loyal to the company.

Put this changing a position and opinion in context.

I’d guess that when Trump said that he had no idea the depths of stupidity his haters would go with #RussiaDerangementSyndrome. The Russia façade would change anyone’s position and opinion.

Changing reality on the ground demands changing positions and opinions. That is strategic thinking. It would be dumb not to.

It would help if Trump didnt change his positions and opinions so frequently.

“I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,” Mr. Trump said in an interview with the New York Times. “She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways.” He also said the Clinton Foundation has done “good work.”

It's just the Trump Modus Operendi:

Recall in his Rally speeches:

Trump: "I will not say Hillary is a crook".....crowd of deplorables goes wild

Trump: "I will not say that CNN makes fake news"....crowd of deplorables goes crazy

Trump: "I will not say Megan is bleeding all over"...crowd roars

Trump: "“I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,” .....Hillary hits the bottle again....Deplorables get it....MSM and Dims heads exploding all over.

That’s a huge load of hogwash. Any other appointee would have those same credits to his name WITHOUT the massive and steadily growing negatives Sessions carries about.

Total BS. You are ill-informed about Jeff Sessions and his record. I have worked with Jeff Sessions office for almost ten years on the issue of immigration. He has been the leader on that issue for conservatives. Steve Miller, who was on Sessions senate staff, moved over to the Trump campaign early on to write the position papers on immigration and trade. Miller wrote the Inaugural address and Trump's recent speech in Warsaw among other things.

Sessions isn’t even a good person; he’s a straight-up thief, as evidenced by his passion for “forfeiture”. Time to wrap your head around the increasingly-indisputable reality that Sessions is part of the swamp too.

What an absolute absurd statement. Sessions is a person of great integrity and principle. He is the right person in the right job at the right time. Removing Sessions will set off a chain of events that will cause Trump's approval ratings to plunge and bog him down hurting his agenda. The happiest people will be the Dems who will celebrate the removal of Sessions, the person they feared the most in the Trump administration.

I’d always been leery about Sessions. Sure he is a conservative, but he still has that RINO smell about him.

Cruz’s name has been floated as a replacement, and I can’t think of a better choice.

Mueller is a left wing hit man.

Fire Sessions, Rosenstein, Mueller now.

Sessions has been exposed as just another incompetent government worker or politician. Repeal the 17th. Don't trust politicians or senators.

Wow Sessions should have stayed in the Senate where he was able to fool conservatives into thinking that he was some kind of hero. He's now exposed as incompetent at best. Will he even be able to go back to the Senate?
