Michal Salomon, the wife of Elad Salomon, one of those murdered in the horrific terror attack in Neve Tzuf (Halamish) on Friday night, recounted the terrifying moments when her husband, his sister Haya, and their father, Yosef, were murdered.
Michal and Elad had come with their 5 children to Neve Tzuf to spend Shabbat (the Sabbath) with Elad’s parents, Tova and Yosef, who were celebrating the birth of a new grandson with family and friends from the community.
While most of the people remained in the kitchen at the end of the Shabbat meal, Michal had moved to the living room to prepare for the “Shalom Zachor” celebration in honor of the birth of the newest grandson.
Michal related in an interview with Yediot Aharonot: “I saw the profile of a person ploughing towards the kitchen. The terrorist, apparently, saw them through the window and entered the house. He didn’t see me, and came directly at them. I heard him ask them in Arabic: ‘What’s your name?’ and I immediately understood that something wasn’t right. That something bad was happening.”
“I immediately took the 3 kids upstairs, where [the two youngest children] the twins were sleeping. It was important that I, first of all, protect the children no matter what. I started to hear shouts and screams. I held the door with all of my strength, because it wasn’t locked. I lost my sense of time, but I didn’t let go of the doorknob.

Meanwhile their victims suffer. This poor now has to raise 5 children all alone. The suffering always goes beyond the death of the victim. These children will never know their daddy.
Aren’t all Israeli’s trained in hand to hand combat and military training? How does a man armed with a knife kill a family of Israelis?

It isn't nearly as easy to defend against a knife attack as most people think. Frankly, at close range, I would rather defend against a gun than a knife.

Israelis are trained in the military. But they run and hide from a knife wielding savage? I find that odd.
Compulsory service does not make everyone a warrior.
All personality types are not created equal when it boils to the nitty gritty . Some people will never be observant of their surroundings no matter what you try to teach them , some people panic no matter how much training they get .
Not all training in the military is the same either . That’s why we have special forces and other guys that drive trucks .
You have age and surprise to deal with too. One of the victims was the grandfather , the attacker was 19 years old and probably in great shape and trained.

The mom was the one that hid her 5 children.
She did exactly what she should have done.

Yeah, go ahead and blame the victims.

I don’t lock my doors for my protection. I lock them so I don’t have to unholster my Glock 23 and neutralize any threat to my safety and the safety of my family.
Mossad should learn the identities of those families and simply execute or "disappear" all adult family members.
