Scaramucci is the right man for the job
Washington Examiner ^ | July 21,2017 | Jennifer Kerns

Posted on 07/22/2017 7:28:33 AM PDT by Hojczyk

First, his impressive background will help President Trump better sell his pro-business agenda to the American people. As a former businessman and hedge fund manager, Scaramucci understands the complexities of tax reform, American business investment capital, and economics. As a former TV host, he can help the White House translate those complex reforms in a way that will be meaningful to the American people in the Rust Belt, the heartland, and beyond.

Second, while Democrats will critique his Wall Street ties, Scaramucci is actually a product of a self-described "middle class," upbringing as the child of a construction worker in Long Island, N.Y. It is undoubtedly where Scaramucci learned how to thrive as he went on to Goldman Sachs, where dues are paid by the sweat of one's hustle. In fact, the resilient Scaramucci was once hired, fired, and then re-hired by the firm, all in the same year. That ability to successfully ride out change is a trait that will serve him well in a White House where "change" is the order of the day.

Third, Scaramucci is a political operative. It may surprise Democrats that Scaramucci served as fundraiser for then-candidate Barack Obama in 2008 which gives him a boost of bipartisan credibility. That doesn't mean Democrats won't critique him; they will. But Scaramucci is someone who understands what endeared Obama to the press back then, and he carried a bit of that magnanimous swagger with him when he took over the podium today. You can bet that his media relationships will more closely resemble those of Obama than, say, President George W. Bush.

Oh my. Definitely won’t support him for President. However, as Communications Director? Big deal. His job is to express Trump’s beliefs not his own.

His press conference was great

Agree 100%. He has the demeanor of a lady I taught with who never had to discipline a class. All it took was a few well-chose words and "the look" and the youngsters were totally stymied.

I do hope part of his function is to ascertain what swampthing traitors are still in the WH....and they are convincingly removed.

I was watching election reruns last night (my guilty pleasure) and Neil Cavuto did an interview with Scaramucci. He was at Trump election headquarters and was a Trump loyalist on economic policy and a big time Trump supporter. He was very articulate on the direction Trump wants to take the country.

You know what impressed me the most in his press conference yesterday? He came across as non-confrontational and never scowled or raised his voice, but yet able to express his ideas in a convincing fashion.

The guy is apparently for gun control and CO2 reductions.

If a general can defeat our enemy, I don't care about his religion or personal views on issues - only his loyalty and ruthlessness and expertise. I care about whether he will fight and win. I think this guy will.

MASADA and TRUMP

Around the year 73 CE or so, a large group of Jewish rebels fled from Roman oppression to a mountain plateau called Masada. The Romans laid siege to them by constructing a huge earthen ramp. Before the ramp was completed, rather than surrender to what they understood would be a fate worse than death at the hands of the Romans, the 960 rebels (men, women and children) killed themselves. (Details here for those interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masada)

In November, 2016, a rebellious American electorate decided it had had enough of passively watching their rights stripped by arrogant, out-of-touch deep state Democrats and equally deep state GOPe types and sent to the White House an equally rebellious OUTSIDER.

If some of you believe that Donald Trump is behaving strangely, think of Masada.

He’s being besieged and vilified by an 85%+ majority leftist media and DC deep state insiders – of BOTH PARTIES – who are threatened by this rebellious “outsider”. The White House is looking more and more like that mountain plateau in the desert and the unprecedented attacks on the man and his family could be analogized as that ramp the Romans constructed to reach and destroy those damned rebels on that plateau.

Allow me to cite an example of how the pressure of the attacks on Trump just manifested.

Jeff Sessions is a decent man. That said, I now question why – without apparently discussing it with the President – he recused himself in connection with the moronic inquisitional Russian probe (anal?) by deep state establishment leftists Democrats and GOPe types cut from a nearby section of the same cloth. (I also have grave reservations about Session’s recent support for unadjudicated and totally UNCONSTITUTIONAL “civil forfeiture”, but that’s a topic for another time.)

Trump’s anger stemmed from Sessions’ recusal as it has put in motion what even Rush has characterized as the most partisan opposition research operation in the history of politics. From Mueller on down, EVERY individual in that cohort is a self-identified Democrat deep stater and Clinton partisan! In fact, at Mueller’s law firm, 99.81% of their donations went to Hillary Clinton! If Donald Trump is appearing just a tad paranoid, it’s because they really ARE out to get him!

Thought Sessions did serve in the Senate, as a gentleman from the old South, he was one of the more gentile and courteous members in that body. While not naive, he probably overlooked the periodic knifings by the left as simply their normal M.O. Trump – a New Yorker – has a very different response to such behavior: He knifes them back! That’s why WE sent him into that den of vipers!

And the news just in that Sean Spicer is out and his replacement is an old Trump friend is simply more evidence that Trump is beginning to grasp the importance of surrounding himself ONLY with folks who fully understand and agree with his agenda and will not waffle and spar with a clearly hostile media gaggle.

While it might be a bit of a stretch, can you see some similarities between Masada and what the new centurions of the deep state are doing to Trump?

My prayer is that, unlike the tragic outcome at Masada, OUR rebel prevails and defeats this new barbaric Roman legion.

That would be great if HIS ideas didn't align with the left.

As if he is setting policy. The communications director is pretty powerless.

As long as he defends Trump ferociously, it doesn’t matter to me what his views are. Be a professional and do what you are hired to do or GTFO.

It matters to me if he isn’t asking the Lord for guidance. It’s what’s inside that counts because sooner or later the true stripes ultimately are shown.

Yes, that's quite an art considering every reporter tried to go for his jugular.

Trump needs the good cop / bad cop strategy. Trump plays the bad copy on twitter and Scaramucci can play the good cop. I like the look of this guy. He could probably be put anywhere in the Administration and clean house. He's a doer, not a politician.

And having hosted Wall Street Week, he's already more of a journalist than everybody in the room.

There is a difference between computer programmers and a main street bricks and mortar business which deals with real people, real material products, unions, employee relations, regulations, politicians, etc.
