The partner of a Minneapolis cop who shot dead bride-to-be Justine Damond was 'stunned' when the officer opened fire through a squad car door, sources say.
Officer Matthew Harrity, who was in the driving seat, was speaking to Damond after she called 911 to report a sexual assault occurring near her home, when his partner reached across him and fatally shot her in the abdomen.
A police source told KARE11 that Harrity was 'left stunned' by Noor's actions.
The revelation makes the motive for shooting all the more mysterious as it appears that Harrity did not view Damond as posing a threat.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, BCA, investigating the incident, is remaining tight lipped about what happened late that Saturday night until they finish interviewing Noor and Harrity as part of their probe.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Minneapolis Betsy Hodges is demanding to know why neither officer had their bodycam turned on at the time, which she called a 'key question' for investigators.

Considering that 1) the shooter had to fire in front of and directly across the abdomen of his partner in order to hit the victim through the driver’s side door of the police cruiser (missing his partner by millimeters), and 2) discharging a firearm in the passenger compartment of a car is a recipe for rendering the occupants stone deaf, then yeah...it’s little wonder the partner was stunned.
When all is said and done the partner will be vilified. The Zulu will be deemed as being correct because he felt he was feeling dissed.
The silence from authorities even on the most basic info is deafening-good thing the dead person is a white or Minneapolis would be burning....
Yes...the cover up is in full force. It will be interesting to see how many cop-haters and gun haters will bend over backward to justify this!
I couldn’t believe when I read that the shooter Officer Noor requested that people respect his privacy.What Privacy?He killed someone.
Hopefully there will be a very thorough investigation.
