What a rip-off. I’ve spent decades not shooting people, and the government never paid me a dime.

Dole Office Clerk: Did you kill last week?
Gladiator: No.
Dole Office Clerk: Did you try to kill last week?
Gladiator: Yeah.
Dole Office Clerk: Now, listen, this is your last week of unemployment insurance. Either you kill somebody next week or we’re going to have to change your status, got it?

But how can they tell who is likely to shoot someone unless they profile?

How do you measure the success of the program?

Could some random individual simply move out to Stockton, and make an assertion that “I did not shoot Person X”, and stand to collect a reward for being a model citizen?

If, after being paid for not being a bad person, you go out and shoot somebody else later, do you have to give the money back?

Or does the collection of the reward for not shooting a person give you a “get out of prosecution” card later on?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Of course, it’s a democrat idea. What happens when they run out of other people’s money to pay people not to shoot each other? Does this mean they finally realize guns arent the problem?
