Merkel told them to jump, they said “How high?”
I use StartPage as my internet searcher.
Jihad Watch came in at 8th place when a did a search.
For your information StartPage is run out of the Netherlands and Netherlands has some of the strictest privacy laws.
My Google search on “jihad” brought up “JihadWatch.org” on 1st page, 5th item down.
But I thought that it still uses the google algorithm
It just keeps identities private.
So searches should be the same as for a first time no history google search. over and over. Right?
I just searched “jihad” and it came up as #5 hit.
Startpage format looks a lot like google
Yes but front end can be endlessly changed.
They choose not to.
Jihad Watch comes in as the 8th result on a Yahoo search for jihad
I just searched jihad on Google:
(1) definition
(2) definition
(3) definition
(4) JihadWatch
Argument two is that it has become a monopolistic utility, and therefore needs to be regulated in the public interest in order to present fair and balance results.
The issue of media bias, orientation and regulation is larger than just Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. It's a fundamental construct I believe Trump is purposely attacking in order to set-up rules and protections to ensure #2.
I just now searched jihad on BING, and jihadwatch.com was the ninth listing on the first page
Something like this could be handled by choice of language buttons:
English, Spanish or Newspeak.
So what you would need to do is to try searches with a "clean" IP and see what comes up then. Or, use a proxy service, which masks individual searchers behind a catchall IP.
Or, you could do what I do and just use DuckDuckGo....
>Jihad searches do not put JihadWatch at first
Most of the items in front of it are the normal items that Google pushes to the top of most searches.
