I don't know about Boston. But in Chicago, you hire an immigration "consultant" who just happens to be family or business partner of someone in the ICE office. For just a few bucks more you can buy any papers you want in Chicago.

The illegal Poles in Chicago could buy valid Social Security Card, Drivers License and Voter Card. All they had to do was pay the going rate and promise to vote the way they were told.

In '70 Oscar Lopez successfully organized illegals to get the same "right" as Eastern Europeans and Fillipinos to become legal by buying valid ids under the table. Dem boss Biesczat solved that in '71 by throwing all the Puerto Ricans off the voter rolls because he knew all the Puerto Ricans were going to vote for RFepublican Gracianno Lopez; and because they had no immigration papers. Biesczat didn't even bother to consider the difference between Puerto Ricans who are natural born citizens and immigrants.
Interesting. I do not know whether our local Poles, Russians, and Ukrainians are here legally. I do know that Juan-my-lighting-installer is illegal (Mexican), but Raul-our-neighborhood-fixit-guy (Dominican) is legal, because my husband talked him into voting Romney for lower gas prices.
A large number of natural born citizens also work under the table, especially in industries that require licenses. Are they also “illegals”?
