Democrats upset with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi after the party's loss in this week's special elections met privately Thursday to plot a way to oust her.
According to Politico, a dozen Democrats attended the meeting, out of 20 members invited.
"There are many more people today, even from November, who are much more vocal, who have approached us and said, ‘I'm done. We need to move forward and we need to get a new leadership team in place,'" Rep. Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., told Politico.
Among the Democrats who attended the meeting, Politico reported, were Rice, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Cedric Richmond of Louisiana, Rep. Tony Cardenas of California, who is a member of House Democratic leadership, and Rep. Seth Moulton of Missouri.
Earlier in the day, Pelosi told reporters she does not plan to step down as leader and called herself a "master legislator."

As much as I would like to see Pelosi humiliated, she’s more valuable to the country in her leadership position. Just not the way she thinks.
She won’t step down. She has dreams of being Speaker of The House again and in her eyes she is 18 months away from that dream. History says odds are on her side, but history has not been a good predictor anymore in this political climate.
Think of the trouble should could cause then for Trump is what she is thinking. Impeachment would get rolling.
She also controls a ton of cash and she can starve out her opposition and have them get Primaried next summer. I don’t see a Pelosi Purge gaining any steam.
Now after 2018 and not winning, she is done. There may not be a Dem party after that either as the Bernies create The People’s Party.
She’s a master all right. But legislator is not the proper suffix.

Anyway, this particular tag consists of Dem apparatchiks attacking conservatives, who apparently are cleverly scheming to push out Ms. Stretchyface, and also slamming BernieBros for opposing her. She’s got little to worry about. The whole crowd has been plotting to oust Trump for months and look where that is going. Like Napoleon, mired on the Russian front.

I disagree. It must be obvious that 2018 is a crack dream even to the dims, and they will go nowhere unless they change their strategy. Trump does not need to win over her districts. He just needs to hold his own and the biggest obstacle to delivering to the on his promises is Pelosi. She’s toast. There is no way forward with her.
