Mueller's Real Mandate
American Thinker.com ^ | June 19, 2017 | Jared E. Peterson

The Washington D.C. nomenklatura advanced forward last week with its slow-moving coup d’état against America’s constitutionally elected President.

But even after the federal bureaucracy’s further progress toward undoing the 2016 election, I confess to a faint hope that Special Counsel Robert Swan Mueller III -- supposed embodiment of upper class, non-partisan, lawyerly virtue -- might actually conduct a fair, focused and swift inquiry into the matter assigned him.

In the end, though, the sensible old lawyer’s voice in my head whispers that this hope is more pipedream than prediction of events.

Here’s the latest state of affairs, no doubt soon to be out of date:

After staffing up during the week preceding last with heavy Democrat contributing lawyers of dubious objectivity, last week Mr. Mueller appeared to abandon, or at least heavily downgrade, the alleged raison d’etre for his office -- investigating the Russia collusion fantasy. Now, per the Washington Post -- always eager to provide a stage for someone leaking ill about the President -- Mr. Mueller will focus on whether the President “obstructed justice” and on the business dealings of the President’s close advisor and son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

So already, almost before his army of lawyers has swung into battle, the Special Counsel’s inquiry has metastasized from its original focus -- sleuthing out whether President Trump or his campaign “colluded” with the Russian government during the election -- into entirely new subjects.

I have no such belief or hope.

"Though constitutionally and decisively elected to office, President Trump must carry out his duties...while a former FBI Director, unrestrained by budget, personnel, duration of authority, or substantive area of inquiry, deliberately harasses, hounds, and distracts him and his appointed officials while attempting to find something -- after last week, apparently anything -- that could be twisted into a warrant for the President’s impeachment and removal from office."

In a nutshell.

Seeing is believing. Until he has shows he has been fair - dismissing the whole damn thing and exposing the Obama Administration for its wrongdoing in unmasking people not the targets of counterintelligence, I will assume he is part of the silent coup.

Vain hope.

Better man up and FIRE ALL THESE BASTARDS—or resign yourself to death by the usual thousand cuts, Don.

Get it over with—but do it with a BLISTERING ATTACK on all of ‘them’—RINOS, TOO!

Never liked nor trusted Mueller at any point.

A witch hunt. Nothing else and he will find or construct his own success.

In the military we used to call what Mueller is doing, "mission creep".

But since we do not have rigorous or ethical supervision over political appointees, and since Comey has already met "off-line" with the Special Counsel, the entire investigation is TAINTED and should be shut down before the voters revolt against the government.

Voters know this is a politically motivated witch hunt.

I’m pretty sure the goal is to install Paul Ryan as president. The globalists want him because he will favor their policies, the Democrats want him because A) they are globalists or B) they believe that his policies will be so unpopular that they will drive a voter revolt which will result in the Democrats retaking the Senate and House. The “Never Trumpers” are globalists to a man, and until Trump came along, both parties were controlled by them.

I’m afraid that Mueller understands “the matter assigned him” as anything that works.

This is setting up to be a political jiu-jitsu.

President Trump ran partly on "lock her up!" The one thing that Democrats like more than hypocrisy is revenge. The irony is that the targets of Trump's "lock her up" are successfully forming the team to turn the tables on him.

Trump went weak on pursuing an investigation into the Clinton Foundation, Clinton dealings with Russia/uranium, and the mishandling of state secrets. Because of that weakness, he gave the Clinton wing of the Democrat party the time to organize their counter-attack, and this is it.

Mueller is their general.

Probably close to the truth.

Rosenstein should write a letter to Mueller clearly defining the scope of the investigation. Either that, or shut them down if they cannot provide proof of collusion.

If he does not do this soon, he should be fired.

Mueller’s mission is to keep expanding his misssion until he can get someone close to Trump on a Scooter Libby-type phoney process crime. Then the ‘Rat bolsheviks and the GOPe quislings will close ranks and demand Trump step down.

Trump is a fighter and will not step down voluntarily. At this point there’s no way any impeachment proceedings would succeed so he’s in there for at least 4 years and more likely 8 if the economy does pick up as planned.

All the dems are hoping for is to distract from their own illegal activities and dream of regaining control of the House/Senate in order to further hamstring Trump’s presidency.

Mueller and his appointees are enemy combatants, like many of the coup plotters who call themselves Democrats or Republicans. Trump is going to have to go full war footing or he will be brought down as endless resources are poured into finding or manufacturing whatever “evidence” is necessary.

I will Resist any finding coming out of the bias group lead by the good friend of James Comey.

Per the ABA

Standard 3-1.3 Conflicts of Interest

(a) A prosecutor should avoid a conflict of interest with respect to his or her official duties.

(c) A prosecutor should not, except as law may otherwise expressly permit, participate in a matter in which he or she participated personally and substantially while in private practice or nongovernmental employment unless under applicable law no one is, or by lawful delegation may be, authorized to act in the prosecutor's stead in the matter.

(f) A prosecutor should not permit his or her professional judgment or obligations to be affected by his or her own political, financial, business, property, or personal interests.
