Sunday on NBCs Meet the Press, Sen. Angus King (I-ME) said the Senate Intelligence Committee was about 20 percent into the Russian collusion investigation during the 2016 presidential election.
Partial transcript as follows:
TODD: Where is the Senate Intel Committee on this investigation timetable wise? I know you dont know the exact end day of when you think you can draw a conclusion, but at least give me some sense of where you are.
KING: First I can say categorically that the collusion or cooperation aspect of the investigation is not over. As far as that goes, I would say that were 20 percent into it just to throw a number at it. A lot of people have said when do you think you will be done? Maybe at the end of the year. This is s a very complexion matter involving thousands of pages of intelligence documents, lots of witnesses. There is a lot of information yet to go.

How does he know that? Oh. Right. The fix is in.
In other words, we are 20% of the way to the next mid-term election.
Everybody knew Dick Armitage was the one who divulged her name but they were so adamant about getting Scooter Libby, they just kept on going until they found SOMEthing.
By the time it was over, Libby was found guilty of something he wasn't even charged with.
Or am I thinking of Martha Stewart?
Unless these COngressional idiots are using common core math, 20 Percent of nothing is still NOTHING!
Or mebbe Global Warming math - it gives whatever answer is needed at the moment.
Why do they keep writing this guy’s name with the extra “G” in it?
Wouldn’t you need to know what 100% looks like before making such an estimate?
No, you’re right.
They just badgered him with questioning until he got tired and messed up, then they had him in jail for perjury.
Never mind he didn’t do anything, the Special Prosecutor got his scalp and could be feted for it.
Bingo! In order to end this but maintain that nobody is trying to hide anything I'd ask Congress to pass a bill dissolving the special consul on Dec 1. In the bill would be the provision that only the Supreme court and no other court has any authority to hear any objections. Perhaps a further addition that any lower that lower court which tries to hear a case involving this is automatically dissolved for Congress to repopulate the judges later on.
How exactly does one arrive at a “percent finished” figure for something that by its very nature can only be known to be concluded when it’s finished, and not a moment sooner?
This guy is a liberal fraud.
100% Angus Bull.
They are just digging to find something else to harass him about. The whole thing is totally unjust.
Called a ‘process crime’. If you are asked what you ate last week on Tuesday for diner and reply mistakenly Greek, then they find you actually had pizza and therefore you are guilty of lying to the FBI. Case closed.
The whole business of Russian collusion would proceed at a MUCH more rapid pace if the special persecutor (yeah, that is the word I intended) would direct his attention to where the ducks are. There very well could have been collusion with Russian interfering with US Presidential elections, and for the benefit of one political party over another, but it was almost certainly the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Obama regime who were doing the colluding. The Russians would in no way have benefited from Hillary LOSING, and their efforts would have been directed at Herself in fact WINNING. There had already been a great deal of benefit conferred upon the Russians most directly from Herself, and the gravy train got upset by the interjection of Donald Trump into the Presidential race. The various disinformation spread about Trump would have the Russians almost SMILING, and it was all from the Clinton/Soros campaign.
Now the Russians despise Soros, of course, but they are not above using the machinations of that financial and political cartel for their own purposes. A few palms greased, and “benign neglect” of the Soros factor, was a strategic move by the Russians.
This was most likely buried somewhere in the 33,000 e-mails deleted by Herself or her agents, and this leads back to the failure to prosecute Herself, Loretta Lynch, the Clinton Family Crime Syndicate, or even James Comey.
We have not even charted all the swamp in DC, much less have developed the most efficient means of draining it.
How much is this investigation and posturing for the camera by the elected costing us, the taxpayers? Seems these “servants of the citizens” are either before the tv cameras or on vacation.
