CNN is spinning so hard, it’s pathetic & hilarious to watch.
I believe Trump understands the seriousness of this. He still hasn’t tweeted. He is letting the lawyer respond to the hearing.
I have my doubts on whether he can keep restraining himself..but for now...it’s a good thing.
And for those that don’t get this...the other side would prefer that Trump just wildly Tweet. Think about that for a minute. They prefer unfettered tweets by Trump. No person on this site should have a problem with his lawyer vetting the tweets.
Whoa Nellie. Throw in that Comey is good friends with the Independent Counsel and has already spoken to him. Sounds like the Independent Counsel was appointed for nothing.
What about his original notes. Memos are created from notes, and notes can be subpoenaed as evidence in court.
The media will do their best to ignore this statement. Hopefully Trump will tweet the main points of this statement.
If he doesn't have the originals of his notes which he used as reference to produce his official memos, then I believe he's broken the law. I figure he's supposed to keep all originals of any type of documents he generates as they legally belong to the government, and can be used in court.
He could tweet a link to the statement. Probably get more coverage.

Comey reminds me of Monty Python and the Holy Grail’s Sir Robin:

Yea, but the point that was missed is that Hillary was the alleged victim of said "Russian collusion" and that Trump is the co-conspirator in that "crime".
In my mind, Hillary should have been criminally prosecuted for her email handling/mishandling... there was never any investigation targeting her for wrongdoing in the "Russia connection".... even though there probably could be if we treat it as a form of sedition in trying to use it to impede Trump's presidency.

I am stuck in a waiting room waiting for my car to be serviced. They have FOX on the TV. I have not watched and/or listened to them in over a year. What a joke. They have on their panel that fat load spawn of McCain, that bubble head Obama bot Maria Harf (sp), Judge Napolitano, who obviously is concerned about keeping his job with the new liberal FOX and Daren McDowell who breathlessly keeps updating the NYSE score and knows more about how to make a statement than one of the best litigators in America. What an absolute shitshow this network has become!! Disgusting!!

They were cackling about the lawyer saying “quote and closed quote”. Who GAS? The lawyer was conveying Comey’s own words from today’s testimony.
Napolitano’s hair must be growing inward. He is off the rails again.
They all missed this.
There is a tremendous revelation in the lawyer’s statement that Comey leaked information while he was still Director, including classified information in one instance.
This shows there is more to the story than just Comey’s self-serving version of the “facts”.
When there's a Republican President that's for sure. I point out his telling Jeff Sessions to intercede with President Trump over his (Comey's) uneasiness, and inappropriateness of the meetings/phone calls. Who is he to delegate official protocol on when and how the FBI director meets with, or speaks on the phone with the President of the United States? And to whine about it, and tell Sessions that he needed to set the President straight? Sessions should have thrown him out of his office on that one.
There were a lot of inconsistent statements and thought processes in his testimony, ie., he felt compelled to make notes on all his meetings/phone calls with President Trump, but he didn't feel compelled to make notes on Loretta Lynch's pressuring him on the Clinton investigation. And, he was thoroughly alarmed over the potential damage to this country if the Russian's were interfering in the election, but he wasn't concerned with Hillary's mishandling of classified emails that she sent to every Tom, Dick and Harry, which could potentially land in the hands of not only Russia, but every other enemy we have out there. In his mind, Trump's a threat to national security, but Hillary wasn't. The guy's nuts.

Comey said President Trump defamed him. Who is he kidding? He defamed himself with his own actions. He’d already destroyed his credibility prior to anything Trump could have said or done. Hell, every Democrat on Capitol Hill wanted him fired months before President Trump actually did it.
He needs to visit FR to find out what he really meant to say.
