James Comey, the former FBI director who was fired by President Trump last month, is expected to tell a Senate committee that the president asked him to back off the investigation into Mike Flynn, a source told The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.
The report said Comey could testify as early as next week.

The media hyped this as if it were Watergate II, instead it turned out to be a third rate story about a disgruntled fired employee who hated his boss.

Technically true, since he leaked his self-serving memo to a friendly professor at Columbia, who then was the “anonymous source” who provided it to the media.

Comey is such a crud.Waste of time to watch.How can anyone assume what the President meant.Clear that he was afraid of Trump.
Now we know why Comey came out and gave his press conference clearing Hillary when that’s something only the Justice Department can actually do - he was providing cover to Lynch. Had she made the announcement it would have looked really bad given that she had just had a secret meeting with Bill Clinton.
