So, Nick Schmit - a white guy - is “married” to a person who wants to see his segment of American culture exterminated. Ain’t that special.

It is precisely because of their economic weight that the cities attract the poor and dependent. The Welfare Class is the result of massive immigration from the South followed by the “Great Society”.

In case you are not aware it is the Blue states led by their big cities which provide the majority of the tax revenue for the states and the fed. This irony implies that should the Red states obtain enough power to actually downsize the fedgov, it will be them which suffers most since they receive more taxes than they pay. The other end of this is that the areas which pay the highest taxes are those least opposed to increased taxes. Of course, this is because of the Welfare Class attracted from the South has been organized by the Democrats.

Civilization means cities, that is where the word came from.
They are still the economic powerhouses that enrich their surrounding areas and states. Without Chicago Illinois would be destitute. You can see from the traffic patterns at rush hour where the economic power is coming from.

Cities have always been violent and uncontrollable to some extent that is part of the enormous energies they unleash. It is there that new ideas and industries come from. But no one denies that they have the Best and the Worst. Or that it is not very difficult to live in them.

You have the etymology of “civilization” somewhat reversed, with all due respect. In Latin, “civitas” did not refer to cities (the word thereof being “urbs”) but civil society as defined by law and order versus barbarity (anarchy and disorder).

The Welfare Class in the western states didn’t come primarily from the South and there were also black slaves owned in northern states in the early decades of the US.

Civil societies eventually become cities. And the word comes from “citizen” i.e. the member of a city. Initially it meant town.

Every civilization of which I am aware had big cities at their core. They fell apart when the cities were destroyed.
It was the cities which allowed a civil society to develop even agriculture was created in towns and cities.

Since the world and nation are becoming more urbanized and less rural, it is critical for the GOP to find a way to be more attractive to urban dwellers. If it doesn’t it will eventually become extinct.

economies of scale

All medium to large cities are now occupied Democrat/Socialist/Communist territories. Is there even one city out there that voted for Trump? The cities have been invaded and taken over by foreigners. Most Americans have retreated and moved out. Many cities would have already gone bankrupt if not for the foreigners keeping the city pension ponzi schemes going a little longer.

An economies of scale graph is a curve, not a straight line. You can tell that cities have overshot the optimum because the cost of living there is now so much more. Outside of massive quantities of illegal drugs does anything cost less in the cities now?

You really need to learn something about the "Welfare Class" and where today's came from. They've come from all the Latino countries, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico and from many nations all around the world. It's hardly just a situation of the "Welfare Class attracted from the South.

Without massive immigration the Democrats would have already gone extinct. There are more white Americans alive today than ever, but their vote has been diluted by open borders.

As cities go bankrupt as their pensions eat their tax base, Americans will be moving to Republican territories, which fortunately is most of the country. Self-driving cars and aircraft, faster internet, better online shopping, will accelerate this. The word "city" will become synonymous with a high crime third world slum.

Their real fear is the white race waking up with a backlash that is so quick and brutal it would eclipse anything that has come before.

Isn't it great when the commie libtards take time off their all encompassing “destroy all white men,” campaign for their “time to kill whitey” program.

Trump did win a handful of counties that include at least one city over 200,000.

Maricopa County, AZ (Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale, Gilbert)
El Paso County, CO (Colorado Springs)
Duval County, FL (Jacksonville)
Pinellas County, FL (St. Petersburg)
Ada County, ID (Boise)
Sedgwick County, KS (Wichita)
Oklahoma County, OK (Oklahoma City)
Tulsa County, OK (Tulsa)
Collin County, TX (Plano)
Lubbock County, TX (Lubbock)
Nueces County, TX (Corpus Christi)
Tarrant County, TX (Fort Worth, Arlington)
Virginia Beach, VA
Spokane County, WA (Spokane)

Duval, Oklahoma, and Tarrant are the only counties that include a city between 500,000 and 1,000,000. Maricopa is the only one that includes a city over 1,000,000.

“Citizen” still did not mean a member of a city, again with all due respect. Roman citizens were not all dwellers in the “urbs”, and not all urban dwellers were citizens, e.g. the slave class. Not to mention, there was no talk of US “citizens” until the Fourteenth Amendment, i.e. constitutionally.

The GOP has pandered to urban dwellers for over 60 years. All that has done is turn them into a carbon copy of the Democratic Party. The Founding Fathers created the electoral college to defray this, at least at the presidential level; and prior to the Seventeenth Amendment, it was supposed to have been prevented in the Senate as well since that body was actually composed of representatives of the state government(s). Besides, the majority that the GOP holds in DC is not thanks to the urban populations, in spite of the RINOs’ pandering. The urbs are not vital, nor do we have to change to accommodate their immorality.

He probably is under the delusion that he gets “protected status” due to his sexuality and in spite of his skin color. Well, that worked in Lenin’s USSR, but not Stalin’s, just for one example.
