Speaking of grandkid, I want to thank you all for welcoming her and humoring her. I truly wanted to be with you all in memory of John and had no option but to bring her along. She had a ball and bragged to her parents and big sis about the wonderful time she had.
Lauren and Penelopesire, you truly provided the kind of Memorial that NYT would have loved, I think. The photo memorial spread was so moving. Mom, I think NYT was looking down upon you with an approving grin watching the margarita making even if it did become a group effort.
Even tho most of my conversations with John were over on the NASCAR thread it was the Wimberly shoot that finally allowed me to meet that kind and generous man. I am blessed to have met each of you partly because of him.
Penelopesire and hubby, thank you for opening your home and Laurenmarlowe, thanks for such a great spread. (And especially the red tater salad)
He always had things taken care of yesterday! 💙
He would also have approved of Mom's margaritas. He would have been angry at Kroger's closing so we couldn't get the frozen mix...how could they!
