Germany's top politicians have stepped up criticism of US President Donald Trump, a day after Chancellor Angela Merkel said the US and UK were no longer reliable partners.

On Monday Mrs Merkel said it was right not to gloss over differences with the US, while her foreign minister said Mr Trump's actions "weakened the West".

It comes days after the G7 summit, where Mr Trump refused to commit to the 2015 Paris climate deal.

Germany goes to the polls in September.

German opposition leader Martin Schulz accused Mr Trump of having tried to "humiliate" Mrs Merkel in Brussels......

Worthwhile to remember that the former President met with Merkel only hours prior to President Trump!

Normally, in a German election period, if there is a Republican President in office (for over 40 years), the SPD Party (the left-of-center party) would go very negative upon NATO, nuke missiles, the US or the war that the US was engaged upon.

Over the past ten years, as much as anyone can talk about the CDU (Merkel’s right-of-center party)....they’ve adapted just about every single trait of the left-of-center party (the opposition).

When listed out what the SPD used to stand for....it’s adapted by Merkel in the past decade.

There are 53,000+ Americans and their families stationed in Germany. That’s a lot of money going into the German economy.

That money America pays Germany for use of bases there could be better utilized for say securing our southern border? i’m sure Ft. Bliss and other bases close to the border could expand operations to accommodate addition troops.

Trump needs to come out and remind these people that we have almost 35,000 troops on the line, foot a large cost of NATO, and have a trade deficit with them of $65 billion dollars. Also, she is responsible for part of the issue of bringing these refugees into Europe. Some are good people, but many others, as we have seen, don’t want to assimilate, or worse, are terrorists.

Germany is the liberal dream. They want their own Merkel, but Hillary lost. They want Merkel, actually. They are calling her “the leader of the free world.”

Yup. Germany is being overrun by terrorists, they can't pay their bills, murdered a few million people, amd they're upset because Trump didn't sign on the the Paris climate charade.

If I were Trump, I'd tell Mad Dog to bring our guys home.

Absolutely she was everything they hate. Hetero, married, happy, a mom, a success, gun friendly and capable, and pro-life. She ran the table on everything these demonically driven perverts hate.

>>Well, Trump, or more precisely what Trump represents, is a serious challenge to what the barren leaders of childless Europe are trying to create.<<

obozo and W were one-worlders. bj didn’t care one way or the other and just wanted to make the situation fit his personal goals (which were NEVER in alignment with USAs needs).

After all that kumbaya it is driving these people nuts that the USA is going to watch out for the USA’s interests.

We will have to fight a war against, and destroy, the EU.

Otherwise they will coopt us into their rotteness of transnational oppression.

The EU is antithetical to freedom and individualism.

Trump should keep his promise to his base and pull out of the accord. I will be disappointed if he stays in after the way these people have acted.

The only good thing is that I doubt very much we will see a resurgence of Nazis.

Why not? Hitler was in bed with the Jew-killing ragheads.

The Fourth Reich wants to plunder Eurasia, same as their predecessor. They are hawks, but they are leftist, collectivist, globalist hawks.

Germany definitely has its share of deadbeats. But I’ll say this: Germany has some of the best engineers in the world; Germany excels in engineering.
