Virginia State Police Special Agent Killed In Mosby Court, Suspect Captured

Virginia State Police said the incident started around 7:30 p.m., when a Richmond police officer partnered with a Virginia State Police Special Agent approached a vehicle for a consensual encounter in the 1900 block of Redd Street.

They said the stop was initiated after the officer and special agent observed a car pull up to the curb and park the wrong way of the street.

“The Richmond Police Officer was in uniform and driving a marked Richmond Police SUV. The Richmond Police Officer and Special Agent walked up to the car and struck up a conversation with the driver as part of a consensual encounter. During the course of the encounter, the Special Agent was shot by the passenger in the car, who fled on foot,” said State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.

Virginia Trooper has been killed in Mosby Court. One of the worst projects in the city. I used to have to go to all of the projects on service calls and my employer forbid us to carry weapons. I got in and out as fast as possible with my head on a swivel.

Yes, you can conclude that.
Creighton Court, Fairfield Court and Gilpin Court are nearby and all in the east end of town. Mosby Court is the most dangerous, but none of them are safe.

We have the death penalty in Virginia and we use it.
He will be on death row at the end of his trial.

I don’t mean send them out......but the people themselves need to mean business with their neighborhoods......until they do they’re just going to continue to have the violence, drugs and thuggery.

I’ve lived in cities where they keep the lid on these types of neighborhoods.........and often cops won’t go there to do more than pick up the bodies. .....yet the people complain nobody keeps them safe. Well it’s their own people doing the deeds and they all know who they are in every project.....so the people need to address this stuff and not rely on the police to “cure” the mindset of these thugs.

Until they care for their own then nobody else wants to.....
