Montana GOP congressional candidate Greg Gianforte narrowly defeated Democratic challenger Rob Quist early Friday morning despite being charged with assault for “body slamming” a reporter.

IMHO the hatred of the media probably helped Greg win. I know it would not have affected my vote at all. A far as I am concerned the media has brought this on themselves.

Very good acceptance speech. He even apologized to that ass of a “reporter”. That Quist got over 40% of the vote is testimony to something wrong with a large segment of MT voters.

Even so, the Russian cyber-hacking efforts unduly influenced the vote and a special prosecutor must be appointed to determine why the Democrats lost.
I heard that 70% had voted before the incident, but with 30% remaining in this close an election, it COULD have made a difference, tho I think MT would support Gianforte before some wimpy Guardian reporter.
Now it will be interesting to see how the House handles seating him, lost of Ds will object. because they’re such swell fellows, they’d never, ever, do anything like bodyslam a wimpy Guardian reporter.
