We actually had civics and government classes back then, so were required to read and report on current events, so ya, I read a lot.

She pushed a White House renovation and the arts. She was very demure about it, too. A beautiful woman. I was a huge fan and in the 70s I used to see her around Manhattan looking fabulous in jeans and a jersey shirt.
