House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday that Greg Gianforte, the GOP House candidate charged with assaulting a reporter, should apologize but added that it is now up to voters in Montana to choose whether they want him as their representative in Congress.
"There's never a call for physical altercations," Ryan told reporters during his weekly press conference. "That is wrong and it should not have happened."
"I think he should apologize," Ryan added.

The “victim” is a former Dem operative in Iowa now masquerading as a journo...for a foreign newspaper.
The only response from Ryan should have been announcing that this would be the fate of any other Dem operatives trying to present themselves as independent journalists. Then strip the Guardian of its press room credentials in the House for 30 days.

So sick of these stupid, meaningless, forced for political reasons apologies. Nobody even believes them. Just say something and stand or fall by it. I have been so disappointed, numerous times, when someone finally has the spine to speak the truth and three days later they’re apologizing. So weak.

So the POS Ryan is right there with CNN even as the “witness” is back tracking. Trump has no one in the GOP stepping up to defend him from anonymous sourced stories but this punk Ryan can’t wait to condemn a GOP candidate in a dead heat race on Election Day.
