The letter primarily addresses a May 2 incident in which a celebration of Israeli Independence Day produced by Santa Cruz Hillel was disrupted by student protesters led by the African/Black Student Alliance.
Bunch of deplorables.

Anti-semitism in the USA is growing. The root of this is the dem party and specifically from academia. Dem Jews and the dem party don’t fit under the same tent.

Bit too late for the Jews. All that money they gave to the Democrats has had the predicted result.

Absolutely.
The great veil on the Jews prevents them from understanding the most rudimentary fact of life, which is that their Leftist brethren, to whom they eagerly hand over money and treasure, despise them and would just assume they were wiped off the map.
Funny how all these liberal campuses continue to fight, and win, divestiture from Israel along with other anti-Semitic battles, and yet the Jews just LOVE these SJW!

Call my cynical, but I can’t help but wonder if the UCSC Hillel would be of any help if conservatives or Republicans were in the same situation.

Don’t they understand that modern Nazi fascists are in control of universities now?

In educationland UCSanta Cruz is a bad bad joke. Outside of academe who would hire a graduate? That's a bit unfair. Every campus has its specialties, and UCSC excels in several. My youngest graduated from UCSC, and has had no problems getting highly paid jobs. Currently a six-figure salary. While at UCSC, she was heavily involved in Hillel activities there. She and her friends noted that the black and latino dorms were only interested in partying, while she and her friends concentrated on studies and easily graduated within four years (could have in three, but decided to stay a fourth year). The minority students often take six or more years.

Your daughter is the exception to the rule. However, I wonder if she found a job outside of California?
To: Bookshelf
However, I wonder if she found a job outside of California? Yes. A couple jobs in California (SF Bay Area). When she moved to Kansas. Then when she moved to Texas. And now she's back in California. After a couple years in one job here, she switched to another company a few months ago. No problem getting jobs at all. In her current job, she's working for a start-up run by some Russians and is learning to speak some Russian, which is fun for her. Many of her friends who graduated from UCSC are also gainfully employed.

Oh great, another thread bashing Jews for being persecuted
- Bit too late for the Jews. All that money they gave to the Democrats has had the predicted result.
- The great veil on the Jews prevents them from understanding the most rudimentary fact of life, which is that their Leftist brethren, to whom they eagerly hand over money and treasure, despise them and would just assume they were wiped off the map.
- Call my (sic) cynical, but I cant help but wonder if the UCSC Hillel would be of any help if conservatives or Republicans were in the same situation.
I'm seeing a pattern here; people despise the Jews because they perceive them to generally belong to a different political movement than themselves. What does that remind me of in history ? Oh, I know.

It demonstrate shallow, uncritical thinking when you equate any comment regarding Jews as anti-Semitism. Clearly Jews consider themselves a distinct social group that goes beyond theology. That is fine. Humans tend to form social groupings. Those groups are often distinguished by their actions. Jew(and of course not all Jews) have tended to support politically and financially the Left. That is and remains a valid action to criticize. many Jews themselves have made the same criticism. Your critique and thinking is commonly used by the Left. If you critique Black Lives matter, you are a racist, if you critique Islamic teaching that inspires barbaric jidahists, then of course you ate an intolerant bigot... Etc. etc. Really try to think a bit more clearly.

While leftist-instigated antisemitism on college campuses is a nationwide phenomenon, the University of California campuses seem to be more problematic than most. Suppose that has something to do with the entire state government of California being ruled by the ‘Rat Party.

You prove my point. You are here on this thread to bash the Jews because you perceive them as a distinct social group that does not share your political ideology.

The Schools Director of Media BS etc Hernandez-Jason, said that it is often hard to identify riotous thugs and protestors.
Well, the stupid son of a bitch ought to ask for “Selfies” and other videotapes taken of the harassment by the black thugs. I’m sure that there are scores of them, esp. those taken by the Jewish students who know who their oppressors are.
Also, did the Campus Police take long-range photos and films? How about the outside news media, the campus news media, and just bystanders?
let’s cut this leftist, cowards’ weasey, mealy-mouthed approach by the university to do nothing by filing criminal complaints against the Black/Africa assholes’ organization, including all their officers, and then asking the local DA to issue subpoenas for photos and films from all those I listed above.
Time to take the black criminals off the campus, along with their anti-Semitic Africa goons, communists, Islamists, and black all-around anti-semites. Expel the ringleaders and anyone who committed any acts of threats or violence. Make the charges into felonies and pile them on.
This will destroy any academic careers these fascists might be contemplating. Ban the Black organizations and any other group that practiced violence or anti-Semitism.
Time to shit or get off the pot, UC Santa Cruz. You, too can be sued and subpoenaed.
