Later it said,
"At the time of the incident, the Police Department determined that the school resource officer followed proper policies and procedures," he told the Tribune. School district officials made similar remarks.
No. If a parent wasn't present, he didn't.
These resource officers (kid cops) are a monstrous concept that doesn't belong in America.

In Illinois, a person commits the offense of child pornography by videotaping or photographing anyone he or she should know is under the age of 18 and who is engaged in any sexual act or in any pose involving lewd exhibition of unclothed or transparently clothed genitals, pubic area, buttocks, or female breast
There is no exception for taking pictures of oneself.
Thus, a 17-year-old who snaps his or her own revealing picture has technically created child pornography, a Class 1 felony with a mandatory fine of between $2,000 and $100,000 and at least four years in prison. It would not be a crime if the teen were 18.
In Illinois - see sections V. A.& B. about when & where & how LEO types can question.

I’d be ready to say it doezens of times. We don’t consider punishment that fits crime in this country anymore. Everything now has to be over the top in being punitive. Policies that allow this type of abuse are also unjust.

OK, it doesn’t really constitute child porn, esp. when the “perp” is a child.
But for once I’d like to see a story about a truly innocent person, from this story to the black-police-tension BLM stuff.
Promising? Filming while @$#@$!ing in pre-marital sin? Yeah, great guy.

The Amazing Kreskin sees mommy filing a lawsuit and the stupid school district giving her a few mill to go away.
He also sees that maybe Corey knew about a lot more evidence than this one incident.

I'm sorry. No sympathy. Were he arrested and jailed I would be POed. I am skeptical about the "child porn" thing. That is another legal definition that has, as always with these things been stretched to cover anything else that might possibly have some fourth degree tangential relation with the original definition, like RICO.But for the boy? He transgressed a basic feature of a Christian based society. He understood that at some level but there is no concept of confession and repentance left for the PC culture.
Suicide is a phenomenon that will increase among the snowflake generations. The whole world is just too much to take for them. Some react violently. I am sure an increasing number of them will simply not be able to take the horror of reality and will exit finally.
I don't even sympathize with the parents. They raised the snowflake. They contributed mightily to his character.
If the parents actually cared or about their child as a developing human being he would not have been in public school in the first place.
And that "resource officer?" Of course there must be armed guards in a prison, even a "day" prison. And guards will act as guards are trained to do.

He obviously had some serious mental illness.

There have been articles on this forum that highlight the potential changes in thinking caused by Ritalin and the like. It would be interesting to know if this young man was prescribed one of these drugs.

so much wrong with what they told this kid. sorry to see he wasn’t strong enough to fight on. This world can be so cruel and adults bullying and threatening a teen like this isn’t far from the top. It happens in all sorts of ways too often. I don’t condone the teen sharing a recording like that but the adults were very wrong in what they did/how they handled it.
