There are no better judges of character than children. In Melania's presence, these children look very serence and comfortable. They feel her love. Her dress when meeting the Pope was very appropriate, traditional, and respectful. The sign of the cross and the humility at the statue of the Blessed Virgin is completely in sync with a traditional Orthodox view, a religion in which icons are revered.
I'm trying to piece this together from things you gals say, from what I see, and from the small bits and pieces we get from the (mostly foreign) media. My feeling is that this is the woman who inspired the man who worships her to make the world a better place, to accept their God-given burden. She is probably the most remarkable woman of our lifetime.
That's where my thinking is now. Correct me please, where I'm getting it wrong.

I can’t imagine Ivanka (the snarky leftist of the family) addressing Melania as “Mom”. Can you? There has to be some kind of rivalry/tension between the two. Ivanka was always daddy’s spoiled little girl. Still gets her way IMO and influences policy in a bad way. But Melania is so darned hypnotically gorgeous. You just know it.
That’s so nice. She seems like a really good mom. I’m sure Barron must miss her.

I think she is the right woman at the right place at the right time.
I think very highly of her and have since I saw her in an interview where she addressed the raising of their son Barron.
In that interview she addressed him having rules and her wanting him to grow up having a good character. She gets it, when it comes to motherhood. Her waiting until the end of this school year to move to Washington, D.C. is something I respect. I respect Donald Trump for allowing her that space too. It shows trust and commitment to the son, and also the President to his wife.
Melania has a lot of poise. She represents our nation well. I know that her heart is in the right place. She knows she has been given a real privilege, and she is not going to treat that lightly.
We have a first family we can really appreciate. They will serve us very well.
They love our nation, just like we do.
We wanted to see our nation made better again.

I have that same feeling re Ivanka and Melania. If I were Melania I think I’d just stay in NY and leave DJT in DC with Ivanka. I think he considers Ivanka as his talisman and prefers not to be too separated from her.
Early in the campaign the family was being interviewed and they were asked if Donald has a favorite child. They all looked at Ivanka and giggled a bit. I think that’s sad. Even if parents do have a favorite they should make an effort to pretend they love all their kids equally. Obviously that isn’t happening here.
